Large language models (LLMs) aren't magic. They're stateless black boxes that take input and produce output, with nothing remembered in between.

This live, hands-on session, featuring A10's Stan Petley, pulls back the curtain on the interface to show the actual API calls that agents and chatbots use to communicate with LLMs. You'll walk away understanding:

* System prompts versus user prompts, and why one carries more authority than the other
* Context windows, and how they create the illusion that an LLM "remembers" your conversation
* How memory across sessions, not just within them, is starting to emerge
* Why these same mechanics, from overriding system prompts to manipulating context, are the entry point for AI red teaming

Security teams once needed to understand packets, ports, and protocols to do their jobs well. Now they need this same fluency with AI. Register at the link: https://bit.ly/4x7xIq4

The first generation of AI gateways centralized access to AI services and simplified API management. Enterprise AI has outgrown that.

Managing AI has become just as important as deploying it, and the AI gateway is becoming the control plane that enables it.

Every AI deployment is two systems at once, and securing both requires different approaches.

The application layer is deterministic and needs the same hardened interfaces, access controls, and schema validation it always has. The intelligence layer is probabilistic, and that requires containment, monitoring, and separation of authority rather than patching.

Secure the deterministic system aggressively and design containment around the model. That's where effective AI security begins.

Nearly all enterprise application traffic is now encrypted, and AI-powered services are placing new demands on infrastructure that was never designed for them.

The A10 Thunder 3360S addresses that reality with up to 150 Gbps L4 throughput, 256 million concurrent sessions, hardware-accelerated TLS 1.3, and modular licensing that scales capacity without a hardware refresh. At roughly 3x the performance of the platforms it replaces, it's a practical modernization path for teams running earlier-generation mid-range appliances.

Earlier this month, A10 participated in the Infosecurity Southern Taiwan Science Park seminar in Tainan, which brings together cybersecurity and technology professionals around the evolving security landscape.

A10's Allen Lin discussed web app and API security with an audience of 80+ people who share concerns about IT/OT security and AI security management.

Traditional cybersecurity protected predictable, deterministic code from unpredictable attackers. AI systems change that dynamic significantly.

A10's Arjoyita Roy and Jamison Utter explain what that shift means for how organizations need to think about AI security.

AI is outpacing the guardrails meant to detect threats against it. Generative AI, copilots, and autonomous agents have gone from pilot projects to core business infrastructure in a remarkably short window, and every new AI application creates a new interface attackers can probe, manipulate, or abuse.

Detecting AI threats now means rethinking what detection even looks like, not bolting another rule onto an existing firewall policy. Arjoyita Roy's blog provides some key points to consider when thinking about securing AI. https://bit.ly/4it2WUG

A10's Tarun Verma is featured at the IDC IT Security Summit India, sharing a practical approach to one of the more challenging controls in enterprise security: SSL/TLS interception.

Done well, it gives security teams visibility into encrypted traffic that would otherwise hide malware, data exfiltration, and policy violations. But done poorly, it creates certificate warnings, application failures, and user friction that erodes trust in security controls.

Tarun's phased approach helps organizations strike the right balance.
