Something we've been working on is almost ready.

We spent a lot of time thinking about who actually uses our site — those who need answers fast, not a scavenger hunt.

The new IPInfusion.com is built around that. More intuitive. More direct. Designed for the way you work.

Stay tuned. Launching soon.

For decades, IP and optical networks have been managed separately. That model is changing.

In this latest blog, Marian Polojan, Senior Hardware Product Manager for IP Infusion, explains how disaggregated 100G and 400G coherent optics with OcNOS can simplify IPoDWDM deployments, reduce complexity, and give operators more flexibility and control.

A strong read for service providers, data center teams, and network engineers planning their next evolution.

Read the blog:

For decades, networking has been governed by two different clocks: the IP layer moves at the speed of software cycles, while the Optical layer remains anchored to the slow, mechanical gears of physical hardware. On one side, the IP teams manage routing protocols and forwarding decisions. On the othe...

If your network monitoring still relies on SNMP polling, you may be flying blind.

Our VP of Product Management, Rishi Narain, makes a compelling case for why it is time to move on. In his latest blog, he breaks down the core limitations of legacy pull-based monitoring — from microburst blind spots and delayed alerting to the CPU overhead that quietly degrades device performance.

More importantly, he explains why the shift toward IP over DWDM architectures makes gNMI streaming telemetry not just beneficial, but essential. When your router is also doing the work of an optical transport box, waiting five minutes for a polling cycle to surface a degrading laser signal is simply not an option.

Worth a read for anyone building or operating modern network infrastructure.

If you haven't tested open networking in your own environment, now's the time.

IP Infusion offers free software demos of OcNOS and IP Maestro that engineers can download and run on common hypervisors — no hardware required. Use them to validate routing, switching, and MPLS features, streamline lab testing, and confirm configurations before deployment.

Download the free demos and see how OcNOS performs in a real environment:

Free software demo of IP Infusion products OcNOS and IP Maestro. Test and validate on your choice of virtual machine.
