When did you last actually test a Salesforce restore?
Not a backup confirmation. Not a green dashboard light. A real recovery — specific record, specific point in time, everything checked when it came back.

📍 Here's a 10-minute test worth running this week:
1. Pick an Account or Opportunity with related child records attached
2. Choose a point in time from at least 48 hours ago — not last night's backup
3. Run the restore and time it. Note every step, every permission needed, every delay.
4. Check what came back. The record itself, the child records, the relationships.

What you find in step 4 is usually the revealing part.

If the child records are missing, your backup tool doesn't preserve relational integrity on restore. If you couldn't choose a precise point in time, you have daily snapshots — not true point-in-time recovery. If it required a developer or an IT ticket, that process will slow every real incident you ever face.

The best time to find out your backup has gaps is not when you need it.
