(Reminder that all of the following is available first come first serve at the shop at 11AM and not before!

First up are two with connections to New Mexico! TOWNES VAN ZANDT is well known to Santa Feans from his time drinking (too much) at the Cowgirl-- and we've heard MANY more stories of his exploits in Taos, too. This is a beautiful first pressing of Flyin' Shoes from 1978, maybe his best record!

Sunday marks what would have been DENNIS HOPPER's 90th birthday. Here we have our last SEALED copy of the American Dreamer soundtrack from 1971. It's got some audio rarities but also a HUGE poster (different from the cover art) of Dennis stalking Taos Mesa with his machine gun in tote. Much missed he is!

Next up we've got a 1973 1st pressing of TOM WAITS' Closing Time with nice vinyl...

Also from 1973 is this first pressing of THE BEACH BOYS' Holland. It's SEALED and has the (always missing) 7" intact on the back!

Finally -for the wall records- we've got two JIMI HENDRIX originals. Axis: Bold Is Love is a 1967 1st pressing with the tri color labels. Some sleeve wear but the record is nice!
.. and ARE YOU EXPERIENCED, a nice 1967 tri-color label pressing.

THAT IS FAR FROM ALL! We're putting out tons of great stuff from the likes of: T***S & THE MAYTALS, Willie Nelson, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, Queen, THE ALLMAN BROTHERS, Camper Van Beethoven, HARRY PARTCH, The Beatles, BILLY JOE SHAVER, Dire Straits, MARTIN DENNY, Warren Zevon, BOB MARLEY, The Doors, JIMMY CLIFF, Janis Joplin, STEELY DAN, Joni Mitchell, FLEETWOOD MAC, more Tom Waits (a bunch of early pressings!), more JIMI and so much more!

To round it out, we've got 3 weird ones-- first up the rarest HANK BALLARD record called "Hanging with Hank" from 1976. Ballard goes funky on this one, it's wild!

** RECORD STORE DAY USED MUSIC SALE PREVIEW **

NEXT Saturday, April 18th, we open at 9AM for RECORD STORE DAY with its limited edition new releases and a whole lot of fun stuff besides. BUT it's also our BIGGEST USED MUSIC SALE OF THE YEAR!

We're taking 15% off all used music or 30% off if you've got one of our LOCALS ONLY CARDS (still don't have one? stop by the shop between now and Friday April 17th to get yours-- we don't give them out on RSD itself!)

(Reminder: all of the following is available on Saturday April 18th 9AM and not before so don't ask!)

Let's get right to the 15 fresh wall records for Record Store Day-- first up, a MEGA rarity: a TEST PRESSING of LED ZEPPELIN's self-titled debut album.

This is one of less than 3,000 copies -the first ever made- sent to radio stations in the US in December 1968 to promote the band during their first tour of the USA. It's not a typical promo pressing in that has a test pressing label and a plain white sleeve! Only a handful of these have ever sold anywhere in the world so clearly few have survived. Note that this is a four figure ($) record. The sale DOES apply to it, however.

Next up is another rare early pressing: CSNY's Deja Vu-- a white label mono promo pressing! This one is not a test pressing but rather a sample sent to media or possibly radio stations.

Next up is an early MONO pressing of THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO -- from 1967 or 1968.

Not only is mono very rare for this album, this one has an interesting sleeve-- the back of the sleeve is the second version ("airbrushed" but clearly had one of the lawsuit stickers originally over the airbrushed image-- there are no examples out there on the internet of this particular combination but it's clearly transitional from the first to the second sleeve design.

Next we've got a 1st stereo pressing of NICO's Chelsea Girl!

Then we've got a first press of THE RAMONES' Halfway to Sanity from 1987.

Next we've got a 1986 1st UK pressing of SONIC YOUTH's Evol!

Next is a 2021 clear vinyl pressing of UNCLE TUPELO's March 16-20, 1992 album. This one is #58 of just 1,500 made.

Next is a 2013 180 gram pressing of BUSH's Sixteen Stone.

Then we've got a SEALED 2015 color vinyl pressing of MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE's I Brought You My Bullets...

Next is a SEALED 2025 3LP pressing of ZACH BRYAN's 24 ! One of just 2,500 made.

Then we've got a 2021 UK pressing of TERRARIA, 3LPs of the video game soundtrack.

Then we've got a 2020 pressing of indie rockers STOVALL's Microwave.

Then a SEALED 2022 3LP color vinyl pressing of The Grateful Dead in Europe

Then we've got-- a 9 CD (! not vinyl) box set: WILCO's A Ghost Is Born-- SEALED!

Next is a SEALED 2016 Record Store Day pressing of TOM PETTY's 2013 Live LP Kiss My Amps.

FINALLY - for the wall records - is a 2017 RSD 4 LP box set celebrating 50 years of SIRE Records-- SEALED

THERE IS SO MUCH MORE going out in New Arrivals next Saturday-- tons of classic rock, indie, hip hop, country, jazz and more. And all of it is subject to our 15% or 30% off used music sale!

SEE YOU NEXT SATURDAY APRIL 18th at 9AM!

Aaaand We're Back! This Saturday we're putting out the second and final part of a a whole collection of 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's jazz in the storage unit that we totally forgot about! PLUS we've got some great classic rock to add to it...

(Reminder: all of the following is available on Saturday at the shop at 11AM and not before!)

Let's get right to the 12 wall records-- first up, a 1st pressing of FREDDIE HUBBARD's Red Clay on CTI. Truly transcendent stuff here.

Next is a 1974 1st pressing of CHET BAKER's She Was Too Good To Me -- super clean and with an all-star lineup.

Then we've got a 1983 mono Japanese pressing of STANLEY TURRENTINE's Look Out! This one seems to never have been played at all!

Then one last Blue Note-- Love Bug by REUBEN WILSON with another allstar lineup including Lee Morgan and Grant Green. It's a 1969 1st pressing!

Next up is a 1971 1st pressing of THE ROLLING STONES' Sticky Fingers with the zipper intact!

Finally -for the wall records- we've got a hefty one: the 1981 6 LP (!) box set called THE COMPLETE BUDDY HOLLY. I'm not a big one for box sets, but this is one or 3 or 4 that I own. Every track is fascinating and the 64 page booklet is really essential if you're a fan. This one is UNPLAYED and sounds amazing!

On to new arrivals! Over 200+ fresh ones going out Saturday including great titles from the likes of: ARCHIE SHEPP, Rene Thomas, JIMMY RANEY, Joe Bonner, LEROY VINNEGAR, Jimmy Giuffre, ROLAND KIRK. Gene Shaw, CANNONBALL ADDERLEY, Led Zeppelin, RED GARLAND, Cal Tjader, JOHN COLTRANE, Chico Hamilton, MINGUS, Monk, SHELLAC, Bob Dylan, SPARKS, Matmos, SCARAMANGA, Charlie Haden, more NEIL YOUNG, more Miles Davis, more Rolling Stones, More REUBEN WILSON, more Vince Guaraldi, more BOLA SETE, more BUDDY HOLLY and SO MUCH MORE!
