Have you ever Googled your own business to see what potential customers are finding?

It's worth doing every once in a while, especially if you haven't updated your website in a few years.

When your business appears in Google search results, people usually see a page title and a short description underneath it. Those few lines can influence whether someone clicks through to your website or keeps scrolling.

We've come across websites where every page has nearly the same title, important services aren't mentioned, or the descriptions don't give people much reason to visit.

That's where a little attention to SEO can make a difference.

Each page should have a clear, descriptive title that reflects what someone will find when they click. A well-written meta description can help too, although Google sometimes chooses different text to display.

These details might seem small, but they're part of making sure your business is represented well in search results.

Search for your business today. If the results don't look right, contact us today, and we'll help you figure out what to improve.

Most people know the first half of our tagline. The full line is “We Do Web Right so you’re not stuck with what’s left.” That second part matters just as much.

Too many business owners end up with whatever’s left at the end of someone else’s week: a template that almost fits, a reply that doesn’t quite answer the question, or a website project that’s been “almost done” for months.

That’s not how we work.

We take the time to understand your business, think through what your website actually needs, and stay involved when you have questions or need support down the road. Your website shouldn’t feel like something someone squeezed in between other projects.

That’s what we mean when we say We Do Web Right.

Ready to talk about your website? Let’s start a conversation.

A new website can get stuck in planning for months because the page list keeps growing.

"We should probably add this too."

Then another service page gets added. And another idea. And suddenly the website you wanted live this quarter has turned into a much bigger project than your business actually needs right now.

You don't have to launch with every page you may ever want.

Often, the smarter approach is to start with a strong core: the pages customers need most, built on a structure that can grow with the business. You get a professional site live sooner, then add new services, resources, case studies, or other content when the timing makes sense.

We plan websites with that future growth in mind, so adding later doesn't mean starting over.

If the size of your website project is what's keeping you from starting, let's talk about what you actually need for version one.

Someone sees one of your posts on Facebook, likes what you have to say, and clicks over to your website.

Then it feels like they've landed at a completely different business.

Maybe the logo is an old version. The service you keep talking about on social media is hard to find. The photos are five years old. Or the tone sounds nothing like the business they've been following online.

That disconnect creates friction at exactly the moment someone is trying to learn more about you.

Your social media doesn't need to duplicate your website, but the two should feel like they belong to the same business. Your posts can start the conversation. Your website should pick it up, give people the details they need, and make the next step obvious.

That's why we think about the whole online presence, not one channel in isolation.

Click from your latest social post to your own website. Does the experience still feel like you? If not, let's fix that.

"Another designer referred me to Brinks when my company's website had been hacked - Phil and Ryan were able to help straighten things out and get us back on track. The owners are responsive, skilled in their work, fair in their prices, and ethical in their practice. What more can one ask for?" - David Hoover

A hacked website is one of those problems no business owner wants dropped into their day.

David came to us through a referral after exactly that happened. Phil and Ryan helped straighten things out and get the site back on solid ground.

We're grateful for every part of David's review, but being described as ethical in our practice means a lot. Skill matters in this work, but so does knowing the people handling your website will communicate with you, treat you fairly, and take the problem seriously.

Thank you for trusting us, David.

If something isn't right with your website and you need a team you can actually reach, get in touch.

Your customer likes the product. Then the questions start.

What does it look like from the side? How big is it? When will it arrive? What does shipping cost? Is this actually the right version for me?

Every unanswered question gives a shopper another reason to hesitate before clicking Add to Cart.

A strong product page does the job a good salesperson would do in person. It gives customers enough information to make a decision without forcing them to hunt around the site or guess. That might mean better photos, more useful descriptions, clearer shipping information, sizing details, or simply making the buying button easier to find.

With holiday shopping getting closer, now is a good time to click through your own store like a first-time customer. Where do you hesitate? What do you have to go searching for?

Those little friction points matter.

If your online store is due for an upgrade before the busy season, let's talk.

"I'm not sure who hosts our website."

We hear some version of that more often than you might think.

Maybe an employee set everything up years ago. Maybe a previous web company created the accounts. Maybe the login is sitting in an inbox nobody uses anymore. Everything works until you suddenly need access, and then figuring out who owns what becomes its own project.

Your business should know where its website is hosted, have access to the appropriate accounts, and know who can get into them.

When we take on hosting and website maintenance, part of the job is getting those details organized and documented. That way, you're not scrambling for a password when something needs to be updated or fixed.

It's your website. You should know where it lives and who holds the keys.

Not sure you do? That's worth sorting out before you urgently need access.

Not every website needs to be complicated. Sometimes the best thing it can do is help someone find what they need and reserve it without getting in the way.

That's exactly what works about the Stache Monkey Storage website.

Stache Monkey is a self-storage facility just north of downtown Sioux Falls. Their site lays out available unit sizes from 10x10s to full-depth 10x40s, with a reserve button right where customers need it. Details like month-to-month contracts, on-site staff, and a safe, well-lit facility are easy to find too.

And because a useful website doesn't have to be boring, the brand's personality gets its moment with: "We're Here When You Mustache Your Stuff."

This is one of those sites that has been doing its job well for years, which is exactly what a business website should do.

Someone searches for "fall furnace tune-up," clicks your ad, and lands on a homepage talking about everything from air conditioning to new construction.

Now they have to go looking for the thing they already told you they wanted.

That's why we often pair Google Ads with a dedicated landing page. The page should continue the same conversation the ad started. If the ad is about furnace tune-ups, the page should explain that service, answer the obvious questions, and make the next step easy to find.

That relevance can also support a stronger Google Ads experience because the ad, keyword, and landing page are closely connected.

You pay for every ad click. Sending that traffic to the most relevant page gives each click a better chance to turn into an inquiry instead of another bounce.

If your ads are sending everyone to your homepage, it may be time to rethink the path after the click.
