Not every household needs the same internet plan, and that's exactly the point.

A single person who checks email and streams a show at night needs something very different from a house running four streaming devices, a work from home setup, a couple of game consoles, and a smart thermostat, all at once. The right plan comes down to how you live, not a one size fits all guess.

If you're not sure whether your current speed matches your household's real usage, it's worth a conversation. We offer a range of speeds so you can find the plan that fits your home, not someone else's.

Call or visit https://www.mgwtelephone.com/ to see what's available in your area.

There’s something different about being connected by people who call the same communities home.

For MGW, local means being here, knowing the area, and continuing to invest in the places we serve.

Local internet. Redefined.

When you choose MGW, you're choosing an internet provider that cares for you like a neighbor should.

With fall gatherings in full swing, from birthday parties to game nights to holiday planning get-togethers, your guests are probably going to ask for the WiFi password at some point.

Setting up a guest network ahead of time can make hosting a whole lot easier. A guest network keeps your visitors connected without giving them access to your main devices, and most routers let you set one up in just a few minutes through the router's app or settings page. It's a small step that protects your home network while keeping your guests happy.

If you're not sure how to set up a guest network, we're happy to walk you through it.

Happy National Farmers Day!

Today we're honoring the men and women who wake up before dawn to plant, tend, and harvest the food that feeds this country. Farming is hard, unpredictable work, and rural communities like ours exist because of the people who choose to do it anyway.

Reliable internet has become an important tool for modern farming too, precision agriculture, weather tracking, market prices, and equipment monitoring all depend on a stable connection. We're proud to support the farmers in our service area as they adopt these tools. To every farmer reading this, thank you for what you do.

Tag a farmer whose hard work deserves recognition today.

Game day means multiple screens, group chats blowing up with every big play, and maybe a few friends over to watch together. Your internet connection needs to handle all of it without missing a beat.

If your stream has been lagging right as the game gets exciting, or your group chat notifications are showing up minutes late, it might be time for a speed check. We build our network to keep up with the moments that matter, especially on game day.

Call or visit https://www.mgwtelephone.com to see if your plan is ready for the rest of the season.

Small businesses are the backbone of our rural communities, and more of them run on reliable internet than most people realize. Processing payments, managing online orders, coordinating with suppliers, even posting the weekly specials, it all depends on a connection that doesn't quit at the worst moment.

We're proud to support the shops, farms, and services that keep our downtowns thriving. When a local business's internet is solid, it shows up in faster checkout lines, quicker turnaround on custom orders, and one less thing for the owner to worry about.

If you run a small business and your internet has been holding you back, we'd love to talk about what a better fit looks like. Call or visit https://www.mgwtelephone.com/ to learn about our business options.

Fiber vs. satellite: what's the real difference?
📡 Satellite internet can lag during video calls, gaming, and even heavy streaming because data must travel to space and back.
🛜 Fiber sends your data through the ground at light speed, resulting in lower lag and a steadier connection, especially during peak hours. If you're on satellite and tired of lag, fiber might be worth a look.

Is your Wi-Fi covering your whole home, or just the living room? Dead zones in the bedroom, the garage, or the backyard usually mean your router needs a boost, not a whole new plan.

Ask us about Wi-Fi extenders to cover every corner of your property - even outside to the porch, backyard and beyond with no additional equipment fees/cost. Give us a call: 540-925-2255.
