Just got back from the MODE Summit, a motion design conference in Prague.

The biggest takeaway?
The latest tech doesn’t always mean the greatest results. Sometimes going back to the basics leads to better, more meaningful work.

Saw some beautiful projects, met some awesome people, and even after 25 years in design , I’m still learning.

Now off to Italy for a little R&R.

Day 3 at Cvent CONNECT

Kicked things off with an absolutely unforgettable keynote by Erik Weihenmayer, the first blind person to summit Mount Everest. His story had the entire room captivated.

Beyond the inspiration, it was a full day of catching up with clients, friends, and industry pros, and soaking in all the fun Cvent energy, from mariachi dancers to a late night neon cowboy party and even some racing action.

Grateful to be surrounded by such smart, kind, and creative people.

Been taking business classes for a better streamline process and just got recommended two new books.

💳 ‘I Will Teach You to Be Rich’ by Ramit Sethi – A practical guide to automating finances, investing smart, and spending on what actually matters—without becoming a spreadsheet addict.�

✅ ‘Getting Things Done’ by David Allen – A productivity system for clearing your mind, staying organized, and getting more done without burnout—essential for creatives juggling multiple projects.

Has anyone read these? or does anyone have any other good recopmmendations?
