Special LIVE-ONLY Webinar Event! 📢 Join EMS and Susan Solman, DPM, RPh, President, Retired Associate Professor, Solman Disability Consultants, FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine/MPAS, for our special Live-Only presentation, "Rethinking Disability Education: Bringing Lived Experience into the Simulation Center" on Wednesday, September 16 at 2 PM ET! Click here >> https://hubs.li/Q04w6jTd0

📔 Overview: People with disabilities often experience suboptimal healthcare due to inaccessible medical equipment, limited provider training, and missed opportunities for preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment. Addressing these inequities requires preparing future healthcare professionals through meaningful disability-focused education.

Drawing on lived experience and patient stories, this presentation will illustrate how disability-focused learning experiences were developed and integrated into a medical school curriculum in partnership with a simulation center. Participants will explore approaches that engage people with disabilities as educators and provide learners with practical experience through patient interviews, safe transfer training, and other experiential activities.

By integrating lived experience with simulation-based education, health professions programs can help learners develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to provide more equitable care for people with disabilities.

Blog Alert 🏗️ Building a More Scalable Simulation Learning Ecosystem https://hubs.li/Q04spr7s0

As healthcare simulation programs expand, the systems supporting them must grow as well. Disconnected tools, inconsistent processes, and limited visibility can create unnecessary complexity, making it harder to manage resources, support faculty, and demonstrate program impact.

Simulation programs should keep in mind building a more scalable simulation learning ecosystem as their needs change. This forward-thinking approach helps connect the full training experience for learners while giving programs the flexibility to evolve.

🛠️ Read on as we delve into the key strategies on how simulation education administrators can plan with these elements in mind. Click here >> https://hubs.li/Q04spr7s0

Blog Alert 📊 Using KPIs to Tell a Stronger Story About Program Impact https://hubs.li/Q04vmqZn0

Healthcare simulation programs generate a tremendous amount of activity: learners trained, scenarios delivered, faculty hours supported, rooms utilized, competencies assessed, and more. But activity alone doesn’t always demonstrate impact.

For simulation center administrators, the challenge is turning that activity into a clear story about the value the program delivers to learners, faculty, leadership, and the organization as a whole.

🔓 Read on as we explore how a thoughtful healthcare simulation KPI strategy can help >> https://hubs.li/Q04vmqZn0
