On a KEF 104/2 run lately. This is the 4th set this month. Another set in for a tweeter rebuild. Over the years the ferrofluid slowly dries up.
This can completely “cement” the tweeter voice coils and diaphragms in place. The only fix is to tear the old diaphragms out, clean and replace the ferrofluid along with the diaphragm.

Some VERY rare JVC Zero 9 speakers came in for service.
These are no joke! Both 12” are active with huge magnets (no passive radiators here). The lower woofers are counter weighted. The cabinets are over 100 pounds each

I had a set of old kef 103’s come in with a woofer not working. I pulled it out and bench tested it. Works great! I pulled the crossover out and most of the solder traces were corroded or burned off the board. I’ve never seen that happen like that. Funky repair but it’s alive again.
