Craig, Rob, and Miguel share their experience at the NAB Show 2026! Datavideo featured two Automated Video Podcast Studios powered by the VoiceTRX50, and the announcement of the PTR-15 Robotic Pan/Tilt Head supporting the RED Komodo X!

The VoiceTRX50 automates video podcasts by controlling cameras and a video switcher to capture who is speaking. Show attendees not only experienced demos, but recorded dozens of video podcasts over 4 days!

The Datavideo PTR-15 supports the RED Komodo X and Nikon 28-135mm Power Zoom Lens, all controllable by Skaarhoj Camera Controllers. The PTR-15 can also support non-power zoom lenses for Komodo X with the addition of a a Tilta nucleus M-motor, turning a manual zoom lens into a power zoom lens.

Datavideo debuts Autocast Automating Productions and Podcasts at NAB 2025.

Accurate auto-switching with multiple cameras and no switcher operator, the Datavideo VoiceTRX100 is a solution combines Datavideo's cutting-edge voice-activated auto-tracking technology with professional PTZ cameras and video switchers. Achieve seamless multi-camera operations without the need for manual operators. The video podcast could be streamed live or uploaded to a YouTube or any CDN immediately after recording.

How does it work? Supported Ceiling microphones capture positioning data, and a seperate audio workflow for podcasts can be implemented. The podcast's audio mixer just needs to send a line out to the datavideo switcher, and after setting up cameras and zones where the hosts and guests will sit, the VoiceTRX100 takes care of the camera positioning and switching for the entire production.
