Earlier this week, we attended the NCC Chamber of Commerce Policy Makers event to hear from Speaker of the House Rep. Melissa Minor-Brown. She focused on affordability, emphasizing that passing legislation is only the first step and that proper implementation is what actually counts. Thank you to the Chamber for hosting valuable conversations with our state leaders!

In 2020, we teamed up with the Delaware Center for Justice, Inc. (DCJ) on a bold new brand and website. Five years later, they asked us back to help launch a giving campaign for their 105th anniversary.

DCJ had put its centennial celebrations on hold in 2020 to focus on urgent community needs, so this milestone was a chance to reintroduce their work to Delaware, from statewide reentry support to youth diversion. We anchored the campaign around a forward-looking rally cry: The Next Century of Justice Starts Here.

To reach supporters across the state, we wrote and designed a case statement and impact report for funders, built a campaign webpage, ran digital ads alongside print mailers, and kept momentum going with monthly emails and twice-weekly social posts. We also created a peer-to-peer toolkit so staff and board members could rally their own networks.

For this month’s team brunch and learn, we hosted our friend Traci Manza Murphy from the Coalition for a Safer Delaware. She walked us through the data behind gun safety, su***de prevention, and how access to healthcare and community support shapes outcomes across different states. We appreciate her taking the time to share her knowledge with us. The more we learn together as a team, the better equipped we are to support the community we live and work in!

We spent last week in Dallas for the Conference, mostly to celebrate making the list for the first time, but also to see if Texas really does do everything bigger. 🤠

We heard from speakers like Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings, KIND founder Daniel Lubetzky, entrepreneur and author Eric Ries, and actress Kerry Washington (yes, Olivia Pope herself). The breakout sessions covered everything from operations and sales to navigating risk and building customer loyalty. We also spent lots of time networking with business owners from across the country (and ran into a few friends!)

The highlight was hearing other founders get brutally honest about the messy reality of scaling a business. Turns out everyone is figuring it out as they go too.

Making the list is a big milestone, but we’re even prouder of the work that got us here. The last three years have been a slow, steady climb, spent building a stronger team and raising the bar on everything we make. We’re excited for what’s next. 💙

Last week, our team joined the Delaware Arts Alliance for their “State of CREATE” Celebration at MKT Place Gallery!

We first partnered with DAA to help launch the CREATE Plan, and two years later, we love continuing to tell that story. Through video profiles, articles, social and email content, and print collateral, it’s been a privilege to showcase the people and organizations moving our creative economy forward.
