We've spent all month getting your files in order. Now let's talk about the closet.

You know the one. The laptop from 2013 that "still works, probably." Two dead phones. A printer that jammed one time too many and got sentenced to the floor of the coat closet. A bag of cords that go to something — nobody knows what.

Here's what to do with it: bring it to us. We collect old electronics year-round, and every so often Blue Ridge Care comes and takes the whole pile off our hands to recycle.

And this is the part I actually like. They're a local non-profit, and what that pile raises helps care for folks in the Valley going through one of the hardest stretches life hands you — and for the families sitting right there beside them.

So that old laptop you feel a little guilty about? It's not junk. It's got one more good turn left in it.

Clear the closet, and it ends up somewhere that matters. Not a bad way to spend ten minutes on a Saturday.
