For the last 15 years, we have had the pleasure of providing residential and commercial computer support to the metro Atlanta area. Along the way, we have seen Barrow County grow and prosper, and it has been a humbling experience to grow and prosper along with it. In 2015, we started offering managed IT support for businesses for an affordable flat monthly rate. Today, more than 60 businesses in north Georgia rely on our continued support, consulting, and peace of mind.

Technology changes rapidly, and the last few years have certainly added to these changes in the way (and from where) people use technology. The demand for more complex cybersecurity, data protection, and cloud computing in businesses has required us to drastically shift our focus and, as a result, our business model.

Starting January 1st, we have made the decision to close part of our business. We will no longer be servicing residential repairs, but instead will be focusing solely on commercial and business accounts. The good news is that this will not affect a large portion of our customers. If you use your computer to run your business, simply give us a call or schedule an appointment online, and we will provide the same world-class service and support you expect from us. For our existing managed IT business customers, this change will allow us to remain focused on our commitment to provide your business with even better and more prompt support.

Growth is sometimes hard, and this is a decision that wasn’t easy. Einstein once said, “Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value”, and I want to be able to provide the absolute best value possible. We wouldn’t be here without the support of the local community, and it’s difficult to articulate how much I truly appreciate the people we have had the honor of connecting with over the years. I’ll be providing more details in the coming weeks, but I wanted to take this opportunity to say, “Thank You.” The last 15 years have been quite an adventure. We’re excited to see where the next 15 years takes us!

I would like to give a shout-out to someone I owe a HUGE amount of gratitude and thankfulness. Our Assistant to the Regional Manager, Morgan Pruitt, officially “retires” from Bradley Electronics today after 8 years of serving this company with a level of grace, trust, dependability – and patience – that I did not think was possible. What started with a simple inquiry over Facebook and a very brief job interview (You know what this cable is? Great! You’re hired) took some crazy twists and turns over the years. She stuck with me through business model changes, physical location changes and even put up with Randy Williams for the last 5 years! I owe so much of this company’s success to her always being here, as an employee, and as a friend. Her humor, resolve, and personality will be missed greatly. To quote Michael Scott in his recommendation letter for Dwight: “The dictionary defines superlative as: of the highest kind, quality, or order, surpassing all else, or others. Supreme. I define it as Morgan Pruitt. As a sales executive, as a leader, as a woman, and as a friend, she is of the highest kind, quality, and order. Supreme."

Bradley Electronics Operating Changes – Effective 1/18/21

In an effort to better protect both our customers and our employees, we will be limiting walk-in traffic: Monday through Wednesday, regular operating hours, 9am-5pm, and Thursday and Friday will be by appointment only.

We will also be implementing other changes that we hope will make your experience here even more convenient and safe!

Our entryway will now be open 6am to 9pm, 7 days a week for self-serve drop off in one of our secure vaults. If payment is made online, you will have the option to pick up your repair during these extended hours as well.

The last 2 – 3 weeks (feels like 2 to 3 months), we have assisted almost 300 different employees to work from home from a variety of businesses. While technology needs have shifted dramatically during this pandemic, the need for technology support in general remains the same. As long as governing mandates still encourage information technology businesses to stay open, we will continue to serve the community in any way we can. We will, however, adjust our operating hours slightly. For the next two weeks, we will be open from 9am to 3pm. We will be limiting on-site service calls to emergency only and encourage you to call or email with any questions to limit exposure. Most of all, we want everyone to stay safe, healthy, and well – I certainly look forward to a day soon where we see economic prosperity in Winder and surrounding areas again. One day at a time.

To help ease the complexity and hassle of working from home, we will now be extending the same "remote from home" software solution to anyone that needs it. This is the same product that we provide many of the businesses that rely on our managed IT support. Instead of offering a free month, we feel many of you (and possibly your employer) will see the benefit and convenience that working from home provides going forward. If you are needing to remote into your work PC/network from home, this is about as easy as it gets. The product itself normally retails for $99 / year but since we buy these in bulk, we can pass on the same product for $20 / year for whoever is interested. We set up everything on our end and send you instructions to install on both your work PC and at home. If your work requires administrator privileges to install software, we can work with your current IT provider as well. Just shoot me an email if you are interested! [email protected]
