The NRCA is sharing data from the 2026 Travelers Injury Impact Report — worth a read if you run a roofing crew.

The good news: workplace injury rates are falling.

The reality check: injuries are getting more complex and taking longer to heal. Injured construction workers miss an average of 114 workdays — the highest of any industry tracked. First-year employees account for 46% of injuries in construction, and workers 60+ are missing an average of 97 days per incident.

Two pressure points every contractor should be watching: newer workers and an aging workforce.
