What an amazing turnout at the DKMS Africa drives over the weekend - 142 new registrations, all in support of Alba the Brave.

Alba is part of our Grindstone family, as the daughter of our head of communications. She is currently battling a relapse of leukaemia and will need a stem cell transplant as part of her treatment. We are very grateful to the Mossel Bay and George communities for rallying together for this very important cause.

For anyone who hasn't yet registered as a stem cell donor, but would still like to, please find links below for the relevant websites. The process of registering is usually quick and easy, and only involves a form and cotton swabs. If you're ever contacted as a match for someone, in most cases, stem cells are collected from the blood stream in a process similar to giving blood.
