Over the past year, Project Isizwe and Seriti coal mine have worked together to bring free WiFi to schools and communities across Mpumalanga, proving that meaningful partnerships can bridge the digital divide.
Yesterday, we celebrated this milestone with the launch of the project and the handover of devices to partner schools, giving learners even greater access to digital learning.
The impact speaks for itself:
Nearly 15,000 unique users connected to free WiFi and R8.3 million saved in data costs for learners, teachers and families.
Together, connectivity, devices and digital learning are creating more opportunities for learners to read, learn and thrive.
Thank you to Seriti coal mine, our government partners, school leaders and communities for making this possible.
