A brand needs to work wherever the business does.

When we refreshed the identity for SDC Indigenous Corportation, the aim was to give the brand a stronger, more contemporary presence while retaining the Irukandji jellyfish that was already an important part of who they are.

The refreshed black, gold and neutral palette now translates confidently across everything from workwear and uniforms to vehicles, signage and the construction site itself.

A good brand refresh isn’t always about starting again. Sometimes it’s about recognising what’s worth keeping, refining what isn’t working, and creating an identity that feels more considered and consistent wherever the business shows up.

Something very colourful is coming to Buddina! 🎨✨

Messy Glow Co are getting ready to open The Glow House at Kawana Shoppingworld, and we recently had the pleasure of designing the signage for their new space.

They’ve taken over a former bank and are transforming it into a glowing, paint-splattered house of fun, with even more space than their previous Maleny location to paint, play and get messy.

The Glow House officially opens on 5 September, but bookings are already open. If you have some little people who’d love to get messy (or perhaps you’d like to get messy yourself!), you can book a session here: https://messyglowco.rezdy.com/775861/the-glow-house-session-ages-18-mths

We loved seeing this one come to life! 💛🩷💙

And yes, Amanda, Ryan and their girls have already put the Messy Glow experience to the test. Safe to say, they got messy! 😂🎨

Not every logo needs to be completely redesigned.

When Gemma came to us to refresh the Olearia Botanics identity, there was one element she knew she wanted to keep: the existing icon. We loved it too, so there was no reason to replace something that was already working.

Instead, we focused on the typography, refining it to sit more comfortably alongside the icon and giving the overall logo a more polished and considered feel, while still keeping Olearia recognisably Olearia.

I think there can sometimes be an assumption that working with a branding studio means starting again. It doesn’t have to. Part of the process is recognising what already works, what’s worth keeping, and where thoughtful changes can make the difference.

A rebrand doesn’t always need to say more. Sometimes its job is to make what’s already there easier to understand.

Earth Heart Living had evolved into a business bringing together intuitive readings, land and property healing, and workshops. Julie’s work was deeply intuitive, but as the offering grew, the brand needed to communicate what she did with greater clarity.

Rather than adding more symbolism, we moved in the opposite direction. The new identity became more grounded, natural and recognisable, drawing on earth, connection, calm and growth while still holding onto the intuition at the heart of Julie’s work.

That thinking carried through the full visual identity and into the website, creating a brand that feels much more connected to the work itself.

Sometimes the strongest brand decision isn’t adding more meaning. It’s creating more clarity.

The growth of a business is rarely just about the business.

Sometimes the biggest shifts happen in the person behind it. More trust. Stronger boundaries. Better decisions. A willingness to let go of what no longer fits.

Your business will ask you to grow with it. And perhaps that’s one of the most unexpected parts of building something of your own. 🤍

A strong visual identity should feel like the same brand, wherever you meet it.

For the identity was designed to carry a sense of warmth, ritual and connection across every touchpoint, from the packaging itself through to the website and larger-format collateral.

That cohesion matters. It isn’t about making everything look identical. It’s about creating a visual language that is recognisable and considered, so each piece feels connected to the next while still working for its own purpose.

Typography, colour, imagery, layout and the finer details all play a part. When those elements work together consistently, a brand begins to feel less like a collection of individual designs and more like a complete experience.

That’s where visual identity becomes so much more than a logo.

When letters become more than letters ✨

Some of our favourite logo concepts begin with typography and a little bit of play.

For this project from the Amara archives, we explored how letterforms could be pulled apart, layered and brought back together to create a geometric monogram that worked as an icon in its own right.

And this is where we got to see it in a slightly less ordinary setting... makeup palettes. 😍

We love looking for those little opportunities within a name. The shapes hidden inside letters, the negative space between them, the way two characters can intersect or connect. Sometimes the strongest brand mark is already sitting there. It just needs to be found.

A little throwback, but still one of our favourite examples of typography doing more than simply spelling out a name.

Not all progress is easy to see.

Sometimes it looks like a big launch, a new direction or something finally clicking into place. Other times, it's the quiet work happening behind the scenes. The thinking, refining, learning and showing up when no one else can see it.

It all counts.

If you're building something meaningful, keep going. ✨

Every memorable retail brand starts with a clear identity.

For that meant creating a visual language that felt elegant, handcrafted and timeless, reflecting the carefully curated collection of jewellery, accessories, clothing and homewares waiting inside the store.

From the logo through to business cards and promotional collateral, each piece was designed to work together as one cohesive brand experience.

It's always rewarding to see an identity come to life across so many different touchpoints.
