The ACSC have just announced a large scale exploitation campaign (i.e hack!) targeting websites!! I will make this as simple as i can, and if it worries you - so be it! If you have a website and are not actively updating it regularly with plugin and php updates - then you are the target. If you are not paying a company to do this for you - also a target. If KPTech hosts your website and you are paying Kirt the monthly fee for management - you have nothing to worry about. If you are not, well, login to your Wordpress or CMS system and start processing any updates now!

The Australian Signals Directorate’s Australian Cyber Security Centre (ASD’s ACSC) is tracking a large-scale exploitation campaign targeting various vulnerabilities in web content management systems (CMS) globally, including in Australia.

⚠️ UPDATE (9:45AM) We’ve (telstra) made good progress restoring this morning's issue affecting some mobile services, with just under 90% of calls and data now flowing successfully across the network.

Our teams are working as quickly as possible to restore remaining services and get all customers back online.

We know how much you rely on our network and understand just how much of a disruption this has been to your day.

For that, we're sorry. We'll continue to update you here until everything is resolved.

We are aware of reports that Telstra is currently experiencing issues affecting some mobile calls and data services. If you're having connectivity issues this morning, or are unable to reach someone on the Telstra network, this may be related to the ongoing outage. Telstra is investigating and will provide updates as they become available.

A DDOS (aka targeted attack) on one of our providers was the cause of the phone system interruptions. Services are 95% working, with a few systems experiencing minor issues like failed calls or devices not registering. Reboot your device, it fixes many cases, but we expect a few more minor disruptions over the next 24/48 hrs

Are you running your business on a ###@iprimus.com.au email address? You have till the 8th of May to transfer it to "The Messaging Company" - which is a fire to frying pan scenario - OR - you can talk to KPTech and setup a business email system using Microsoft 365 with your own business domain name and more control and security! (This will eventually apply to those using bigpond, optus and any other internet providers email service!)
