Finding the time to write social posts, marketing updates, and customer emails every week is exhausting especially when youโ€™re already running every other part of your business.

AI can speed up the writing, but how do you make sure it still sounds like you and doesn't make promises your business can't keep?

The last two days, .tedja ., and Antonio Vito Yu, representing Western Australian AI Hub, spent their time in Geraldton with a room full of people from industry, government, innovators, and researchers from WA and all over Australia.

They were all there to work out how Western Australia can build data centres the right way. It was Green Tech Hub's Green Compute at the Edge workshop, and the energy in the room was something else.

City of Greater Geraldton has so much going for it. Some of the best sun and wind in the world, a location that matters for our part of the world, and new subsea cables on the way. The easy option would be to build data centres the way everyone else does. But that's not the conversation we were having. This was about doing it better, running on genuinely clean, around-the-clock energy, being careful with water in a dry part of the country, and making sure the region and the community actually benefit, not just the operators.

We brought ๐Ÿ–‡๏ธ ๐—ฑ๐—ฐ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ด.๐—ผ๐—ป๐—น๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐Ÿ–‡๏ธ, an open map of every data centre in Australia. More than a hundred of them, each backed by real evidence: how clean the local grid actually is, plus water, land and emissions. You can also compare them with other data centres worldwide, totalling more than 1,000.

Grateful to Green Tech Hub , a WA Gov-supported hub, for having us and to everyone who turned up ready to think hard about the future. ๐ŸŒฑ

AI is moving faster than most boardrooms can keep up with. Is yours equipped to lead the conversation?

Across Western Australia, Artificial Intelligence has officially shifted from an IT discussion to a core strategic priority. But many directors and executives are finding themselves in the same spot: needing to make high-stakes decisions about AI without a clear governance framework to rely on.

Hereโ€™s the reality: effective oversight isn't about understanding every technical detail or tool. Itโ€™s about asking the right strategic questions, establishing clear lines of accountability, and making confident decisions that protect and propel your organisation.

Join us at WA AI Hub for an exclusive, in-person workshop with Eunice Sari, Co-Founder and Management Committee Member of the Western Australian AI Hub.

Designed specifically for Board Members, CEOs, Executives, and Senior Leaders, this session delivers clear, actionable guidance aligned with Australiaโ€™s evolving AI standards.

Here is what weโ€™ll cover:
โ€ข How to strengthen board oversight for AI initiatives.
โ€ข Practical governance frameworks that simplify complex decisions.
โ€ข Clear strategies to define roles, responsibilities, and accountability.
โ€ข Proven approaches to balance AI opportunities with risk management.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Limited to 25 participants to ensure a focused, interactive space for peer learning and high-value discussion.

Don't leave AI oversight to chance. Secure your seat today:

Fear around new technology is completely natural. Just over a week ago at Skillwest 2026 with the City of Cockburn, many parents, teachers, and students asked us the same honest questions:
๐Ÿ‘ท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ Will these tools take our jobs?
๐Ÿ’ฆ Are they using up too much of our energy and water?

After 25 years working in educational technology, I know that fear usually comes from a lack of clear, practical information. This past weekend at the Community STEM and Drone Discovery Day at Murdoch University, the team at Western Australian AI Hub set out to turn those worries into useful, everyday understanding.

Special thanks to Antonio Yu , Sangay Khandu, Femina Francis, Lynne Hwang, Jacek Korneluk devis varghese, Adi Tedjasaputra and Huy Phan.

Using simple, interactive activities, we opened up clear conversations across generations about:

Creating this kind of impact takes a whole community:
๐Ÿค– Aicode Australia & Anita Cheng for providing fantastic, inclusive programs that inspired learners regardless of their age or school year. We are proud to support their work.

๐Ÿ’ก It was great connecting with STEM champions like Hon Dr Parwinder Kaur MLC, representing WA Government who constantly pushes for equal access to science and technology across Western Australia.

๐Ÿš€ Our team member Adi Tedjasaputra showed kids hands-on activity on how flying robots and drones use AI to "see" and navigate obstacles in real time.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Representing the hub, I joined a panel discussion alongside practical experts from Women in Technology, Western Australia (WITWA), Curtin University, Tan & Tan Lawyers to answer direct questions from the community.

Can you always trust an AI answer?๐Ÿ”

AI can help us learn, work, and solve problems faster, but it doesn't always get things right. Knowing how to check AI-generated information is becoming an essential skill for everyone.

Join us for Everyday AI: Finding and Checking Information, part of the AI Training Series delivered in collaboration with City Of Canning Wa, and Hillview Intercultural Community Centre.

In this practical, hands-on session, you'll learn how to:
โœ… Verify AI-generated information
โœ… Recognise when AI answers need checking
โœ… Use trusted sources to validate information
โœ… Apply practical techniques to use AI more safely and confidently

The session is facilitated by Dr Eunice Sari, an expert in digital learning and technology integration who has designed community-focused learning experiences and helped people of all ages build the confidence to use emerging technologies safely and effectively.

Would you know if an AI answer was biased?๐Ÿค”

AI is becoming part of everyday learning, but using AI isn't the same as understanding AI.

As AI tools become more common in schools and at home, young people need more than just prompting skills. They need the confidence to question AI, recognise bias, verify information, and think critically.

That's exactly what we will explore at NextGen AI Lab: Data, Bias and Fairness, part of the AI Training Series delivered in collaboration with City Of Canning Wa and Hillview Intercultural Community Centre.

In this interactive workshop, students in Years 7-12 will learn how to:
โœ… Understand how AI generates responses
โœ… Recognise bias in AI-generated content
โœ… Write more inclusive prompts
โœ… Apply a practical Bias and Fairness Check they can use in school and beyond

The session is facilitated by Dr Eunice Sari, an expert in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) who has designed learning experiences that help young people develop ethical AI skills, digital literacy, and critical thinking, essential capabilities for the future.
