FEATURE CASE 14 – Flexible Data Forms & Custom Fields
Standardised data masks quickly reach their limits in research. Each institution works with its own data collection structures, individual fields and specific requirements.

A system must adapt to this reality – not the other way around.
BioARCHIVE enables the creation of individual data masks that can refer to:
• a case (e.g. patient, animal model, sample source)
• a study
• or individual samples.
Numerous data types are available to accurately map information. Fields can be shown or hidden depending on each other, groups can be structured with headings, and organisational data – such as device management or quality management – can also be integrated.
The result is a data collection system that can be flexibly adapted to scientific and organisational requirements.
Structure is not created through standardisation –
but through appropriate system architecture.
