📍 H1 2026 unaudited, compiled financial results.
Gross profit reached 14.8 million RON (+107% YoY), net profit 11.9 million RON (+97%), and gross margin hit 31% more than double H1 2025. Profitability isn't being diluted by low-margin work anymore. It's coming from a smaller, more concentrated, higher-value portfolio.

Revenue landed at 47.4 million RON, 2% below H1 2025. This is the first full semester built entirely without the BPO and ITO activities we exited in 2025, which alone made up 38% of last year's H1 revenue. The core business fully absorbed that gap in 12 months.

Public Software now makes up 68% of Group revenue, up from 42% a year ago — a direct reflection of where we've placed our bets: GovTech.

🤝 Projects that defined the semester:
- an AI & HPC infrastructure platform for STS (45.9M RON, PNRR-funded),
- and two subsequent contracts with ADR for cybersecurity application migration (143M RON combined, 28-month delivery).
- PREVENT 2.0 - the platform we built for Romania's National Integrity Agency - went fully operational.

None of this reads as a straight line to December. A meaningful part of this year's project costs and deliverables sit in H2 by design - H1 is a solid half, not a full-year forecast.

"A unified public digital infrastructure, built on clean, accessible data".
This is what Bogdan Florea, founder & co-CEO of Connections thinks the digital transformation of the State needs to accelerate.

In a new interview with Economica, Bogdan shares his view, shaped by years of delivering large, complex projects for public institutions.

His take:
🔹 it's rarely about budgets or talent. It's about structure.
🔹 digitalization often starts before internal processes have been fully mapped and optimized
🔹 connecting systems across agencies rarely has one clear owner, which makes real interoperability hard to achieve
🔹 and large-scale transformation typically needs 5-7 years to show results, while political cycles run on a much shorter clock.

"What we're missing as a country to become a regional innovation hub isn't necessarily more funding, it's a different mindset, one that teaches us to innovate, not just replicate models."

In the most recent discussion on the Ziarul Financiar "For Romanian businesses", Bogdan Florea - founder & co-CEO of Connections spoke about the need to move beyond the "lohn" paradigm: renting out people, low value-added services. Romania can build strong companies, both service-based and product-based. We have enormous potential!

Bogdan also pointed to Poland, Hungary, and Moldova, countries that, each in their own way, followed a coherent strategy and moved faster on digitalization.

We're not speaking as outside commentators.
Connections has already delivered complex digitalization projects for the Romanian state: ECRIS or Prevent for the National Integrity Agency. From this hands-on experience, we believe Romania's biggest win would come from a coherent national strategy, sustained across political cycles so that major projects actually have time to show results.

And finally, the solution Bogdan sees: education reform, with a focus on critical thinking and analysis, not memorization.

Connections (CC) is among the companies with the highest market capitalization growth on Romania's capital market / Bursa de Valori Bucuresti - from RON 64 million on its first trading day to RON 178 million today, a 177% increase.

This result places us 3rd in the ranking of capitalization growth among companies listed on the Bucharest stock exchange, from 2020 to present, according to the latest analysis by Ziarul Financiar.

Behind this ranking lies a strategy of
✔️ refocusing on profitability (higher value-added activities),
✔️ complex projects with real impact (government, cybersecurity, AI)
✔️ and financial discipline.

"Over the past few years we've made some counterintuitive decisions, like giving up a division that brought in revenue, in order to gain profitability. What we actually did was redirect the company's focus toward three directions: real value-added services, an R&D strategy built around AI integration, and a strong position in govtech. Thank you to the investors who are with us on this journey - we might be the ones reporting this growth, but we're building it with you." Bogdan Florea & Radu Marcu, co-CEOs, Connections.

What does digital sovereignty actually mean?
Not building everything ourselves. Not isolating ourselves from the rest of Europe. And definitely not putting a flag on a server and calling it strategy.

In a recent discussion on Aleph Business, Bogdan Florea - founder & coCEO, shared this perspective: digital sovereignty starts with knowing where your critical data sits, who controls the keys, and whether you have the people capable of operating and developing the technology, not just buying it.

A few other ideas from the conversation stayed with us:
🔹 Technology alone does not create progress. Many digital investments become simple expenses if they are not adopted, used, and connected to real needs.
🔹 You cannot digitalize broken processes and expect better outcomes. Technology amplifies what already exists — good or bad.
🔹 Cybersecurity should start much earlier than it does today. Not at the end of a project, but from day one. And not only in organizations, but through education, starting from school.

But perhaps the most important takeaway is this:
👉 Technology is becoming easier to buy. What remains difficult to build are the capabilities, culture and expertise needed to use it well.

“Public sector digital projects move slowly.”
That’s one of the most common assumptions in tech.
But what happens when the right teams, processes and coordination are already in place?

In the newest episode of 👉 https://tinyurl.com/mupktbyh, Andreea Corcodel, Project Manager at Connections, gives one example of a public sector software project that was delivered 3 months ahead of time thanks to better internal processes.

Aligning teams, managing dependencies, keeping communication active and making fast decisions under pressure while maintaining delivery standards sounds like a regular day on the job for Andreea.

For us, complex projects move forward because ex*****on is treated as seriously as technology itself.
And sometimes, with the right people involved, even public sector projects can move faster than expected.

In an IT project, deliverables, deadlines, and technology are only part of the equation. Behind the scenes, there is constant coordination, quick decision-making, and the ability to keep teams on the…

What happens when a listed tech company focuses on long-term value creation?

In the Investor Relations discussion held on May 20, Bogdan Florea and Radu Marcu - Connections coCEOs, talked about the strategic decisions behind Connections’ evolution:
from monetizing the Service Delivery division
to accelerating investments in GovTech, AI and Cybersecurity.

Some of the key ideas discussed:
👉 Connections has evolved from small custom software projects to large-scale digital infrastructure and GovTech projects, with tech vertical growing 9x last year alone.
👉 AI is already integrated across the company's internal workflows, software delivery and future proprietary products
👉 Our Cybersecurity philosophy and practice are about application-level resilience and secure-by-design architecture
👉 The public sector remains one of the world’s largest technology spenders, and one of the biggest opportunities for Connections to create meaningful digital transformation.

To showcase our expertise with big, complex projects, Bogdan & Radu talked about 🔹 PREVENT 🔹, the platform we developed for the National Integrity Agency (ANI), capable today of analyzing millions of public procurement procedures annually in order to detect conflicts of interest, a project that shows how technology can increase institutional capacity at scale.

Watch the rest of the conversation to learn about:
✔️ how Connections evaluates its pipeline and budgets growth
✔️ why the company is approaching international expansion cautiously
✔️ and how the group structure supports both product development and delivery capacity

Q1 2026 results talk about the reality of our new chapter.

Connections closed the first quarter of 2026 with a
net profit of 7.89 million RON, up 901% versus Q1 2025,
and a gross profit margin of 36%, compared to 7% a year ago.
Revenue reached 25.8 million RON, a 33% increase year-on-year.

These are the first results that fully reflect the business we have been building: a model focused on high value-added software, digital transformation and emerging technologies, with no margin dilution from lower value-added activities.

Q1 2026 also marked the signing of a significant AI & HPC contract with a Romanian public institution, valued at 45.9 million RON.
One of the most complex GPU infrastructure projects implemented in the Romanian public sector to date.

The direction for 2026–2030 is set.

We are more profitable, more focused, and well positioned in a market shaped by accelerating digitalization and new European regulations - NIS2, AI Act, Cyber Resilience Act.

One of the most overlooked vulnerability in Romania:
"Looking at cyberattacks over the last year and a half, both in the public and private sector, in many cases the attack was not enabled by the lack of a tool. It was enabled by a poorly written line of code from three years ago that was never updated, never corrected." said Bogdan Florea - CEO Connections, at the News.ro / Leaders Lounge – Cybersecurity event on May 11.

What Secure by Design actually means in practice?

🟰"Secure Software Development Lifecycle is not just a technical standard. It is a shift-left approach: you start implementing security measures from the very first phases of development, not after the system is built."

The Cyber Resilience Act, entering into force in December 2027, makes explicit references to * Secure by Design * for systems and software solutions alike. Companies need to be ready.

"When building software, security means discipline from the beginning. And the cost of not doing it is not a compliance fine, it is losing your critical data because of a line of code written three years ago that nobody touched since."

Today, Bogdan Florea, Founder & Co-CEO of Connections, joins the News.ro Leaders Lounge conference “Cybersecurity – Protecting Businesses in the Digital Era” as a speaker.

His topic:
Secure by Design — the foundation of digital sovereignty

As AI accelerates and critical infrastructures become increasingly interconnected, cybersecurity can no longer be treated as a final checkpoint. It must become part of the system from the very beginning.

💬 “Digital sovereignty is written in code and measured at organizational level. Cybersecurity is not something you buy at the end — it is something you build from the very first line and continuously monitor over time.”

Bogdan will address:
▪ why cybersecurity starts with developers, not only with the CISO
▪ why secure coding should become a GovTech procurement standard
▪ why scaling NIS2 compliance requires more than traditional consulting
