Using an Architecture Description Language (ADL) to govern AI agents, at Codecamp Iași

AI agents don’t read architecture diagrams. They read context.

At Neal Ford’s masterclass at Codecamp Iași, our CTO Bogdan Baran and our Software Tech Lead Adrian Aioanei are looking at how to close that gap with an Architecture Description Language (ADL):

→ Write architecture rules as specs
→ Give those specs to agents as context
→ Turn the same specs into fitness functions in CI

One spec both guides the agent and checks its output. For regulated software, that’s how architecture becomes something you can verify.

Last week, our team was in Leipzig, joining our client for PI Planning and an AI-focused hackathon aimed at turning ideas into practical solutions.

As part of the hackathon, our team brought forward several ideas focused on QA. The proposed features attracted interest across the project and will be shared with three teams, creating an opportunity to explore their potential beyond the initial scope.

A great example of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and AI-driven ideas moving from proposal to practice.

The best problem-solving we saw at our internal hackathon didn't come from any single tool. It came from people listening, building and improving together.

AI agents can ship code faster than any team ever could, that's real leverage. But speed only holds up when the work is still checked against a clear spec.

Our hackathon teams showed why that combination works: fast tools, sharp people, tight feedback loops between them.

That's the discipline worth carrying forward: AI in the pipeline, expertise at the center.
