"Can you just forward my calls to my cell?"
We hear this a lot from new customers. And every time, our answer is the same: please don't use call forwarding to a personal cell number.
Here's why:
→ Voicemails land on personal devices, not your business system
→ You lose all call records and tracking
→ Customers get your employee's personal number
→ No transfers, no holds, no conference calls
→ No way to turn it off after hours
The better move? Use your VoIP provider's mobile app.
Same business number. Same voicemail. Same call records. Works on cellular data when the office internet goes down. And your team can log out at the end of the day.
It's not a workaround. It's the right way to stay reachable.
