Three-tier pull-out with chrome retainer rails, soft-close slides, and a full-height frame built to match the surrounding raised-panel cabinetry. Every inch of that narrow base cabinet, finally put to work.

From engineering at MIT to cutting cabinet parts on a Saturday morning, it's not the path most people expect.

But the more I worked in mechanical engineering, the more I missed the part where you actually make the thing. Drawings on a screen are one thing. Solid wood, a sharp router bit, and a kitchen that didn't exist last month, that's the work I wanted to be doing.

Fabwright Origins is the result. Every piece of millwork we deliver gets engineered like a system, then built by hand in our Boston shop. The MIT part isn't a flex, it's a discipline. Tolerances matter. Materials behave. The cabinet has to fit the wall it was measured for, not the wall in the rendering.
