“Five seconds. That’s all it takes for someone to decide if they trust your brand.”
Leslie Salonen, Brand Manager at Moxie Sozo, has been on both sides of the table, brand side and agency side. That perspective has made her hyper-aware of the signals most brands don’t even realize they’re sending, every single day.

In her latest piece, Leslie pulls apart what actually makes people trust a brand and why authenticity is harder to manufacture than most think. The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA) ARTMIX 2026 pulls together 100+ regional artists, a killer silent auction, and a room full of people who actually show up for art. 🖼️

Proceeds support exhibitions and education outreach programs, that reach 240K+ people each year.

Our Production Designer, Rem Lindenau, has won the ARTMIX design competition three years running. 🏆 And the talent doesn’t stop there — Our Moxies Qian Liu (Senior Designer) and Micah Shannon (Intern) both have work featured in tonight’s show.

Not your average loaf, and that’s the point.

just introduced Daily Power Protein Bread, and it’s exactly what the category’s been missing. 10g of plant-based protein, real ingredients, and none of the trade-offs that usually come with “functional” foods. Just really good bread, that happens to work harder. 💪

Micah Shannon’s internship at is complete, and the work he left behind speaks for itself.

What stood out wasn’t just output, it was his process. consistently worked from story outward, testing, pushing, and refining until the work felt alive without losing intention.

His mentor, Cara Berberet, who worked closely with Micah throughout his internship, shared this:

“Micah has been a great – and greatly talented – addition to the team this spring! We’ve been enormously impressed by the range he’s brought: from his insightful strategic writeups when pitching initial ideas to the refined details of his finished design work. His talent and thoughtful perspective have been invaluable.”

Looking ahead, Micah is focused on what comes next:

• Fall 2026 internship at an agency that values craft, play, and artistic rigor (open to relocation)
• Post–Spring 2027 full-time Designer opportunities
• Focus on brand identity and illustration rooted in storytelling and world-building

In Micah’s words:
“The projects that get my blood pumping are the ones where storytelling and experimentation are at the forefront—crafting distinct artifacts and stories that go beyond function and metrics and cross the threshold into prized possessions and cherished memories. I feel most at home when design is valued as not just a communication tool but a true artform that can ignite wonder within and whisk people away to unknown worlds.”

Micah, thank you for the energy, care, and craft you brought to your time here. Your handmade thank-you card is now displayed in the office as a piece of artwork. It’s part of the studio now, and a lasting reminder of your time here. 💙

What happens when a Graphic Designer asks AI directly: “Do you want to destroy my livelihood?” 🎱

Moxie Sozo’s Principal Designer and Partner, Nate Dyer, did exactly that, and the conversation that followed is worth reading.
