Applications are due Sunday, November 1, for the 2027 Spudnik Press Residency Program in Chicago.

Our residency offers artists 2 to 6 weeks of dedicated time, 24/7 access to our 4,800 sq. ft. studio, dedicated flat file storage, and staff support to produce a print-based body of work.

Deadline: Sunday, November 1, 2026
Residency Dates: February 5 – December 31, 2027

Eligibility: Independent printmakers working in screen print, relief, intaglio, or risography. Open to both local and visiting artists.

Join on Thursday, Nov 12 (6–8 PM) to make 4″ x 6″ postcard artworks for Postcards from the Edge 2027 exhibition and benefit at Berry Campbell Gallery.

Blank postcards and supplies are provided. All skill levels welcome, no prerequisites, just a low-key night devoted to drawing and community. We’ll collect and mail all finished pieces together at the end of the evening.

One week away: Texture in Risography is next Wednesday, Nov 4.

This 4-hour workshop covers ink density, screen choices, and hardware maintenance like changing master rolls and ink tubes. You'll design around Riso quirks like drying times and registration shifts, print a custom two-layer project, and get authorized for Open Studio.
