Darrell brings an extraordinary level of leadership and real-world expertise in homeland security, emergency management, venue protection, and large-scale event security that will be invaluable as PerVista AI continues expanding across sports, entertainment, public safety, and critical infrastructure.

Most recently, Darrell served as the East Regional Director of Safety and Security for FIFA World Cup 2026™, where he led safety and security planning for major host cities including New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Miami, and Boston. His oversight also included FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ operations across multiple U.S. cities.

His career includes senior leadership roles within the Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, the White House National Security Staff, Madison Square Garden Company, and George Washington University. He also served as the first Director of the District of Columbia’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and is a retired United States Air Force Master Sergeant (First Sergeant).

Beyond his operational leadership, Darrell has advised some of the nation’s leading preparedness and security organizations, testified before Congress on homeland security matters, and serves as faculty and subject matter expert for institutions including Harvard University and the Naval Postgraduate School.

Over the course of an impressive career, Rod generated more than $200M in revenue during his 18 years with the NFL’s Washington Commanders as Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, where he led major partnerships with brands including AT&T, IBM, Nike, Toyota, Lenovo, Marriott, MGM Resorts International, and many more. He also played a major role in naming rights, sports betting initiatives, intellectual property monetization, and strategic innovation efforts for one of the most valuable franchises in professional sports.
