If you were impacted by Hurricane Lala, Hawaiian Telcom has established internet service at Nāʻālehu Hongwanji to help residents stay connected during recovery efforts. Vibrant Hawaii's community hub will remain open while supplies last, providing hot meals, drinking water, charging stations, clean-up supplies, and additional support services.

Service Alert: Our network on the Big Island remains stable and customers with power should generally have access to their Hawaiian Telcom services. 911 emergency calling the Big Island has been restored for landline customers. However, customers attempting to reach 911 using a mobile device may still experience issues. Please follow local guidance for alternate emergency contact methods.

Due to Hurricane Lala, we are currently experiencing power-related issues with a network facility on the Big Island causing critical service interruptions including the inability to contact emergency services (911). If you have an emergency, please call the Hawaiʻi Police Department at 808-935-3311 using a landline, or go to the nearest fire station for assistance.
