Most manufacturers have an incident response plan. Most of those plans fall apart when they are actually needed.
Not because the plan was wrong. Because the foundation underneath it was never built.
When an incident hits:
Teams can't identify which systems were affected
Shared credentials make it impossible to trace what happened
Vendor accounts with no clear owner become active entry points
That's not a response problem. That's a readiness problem.
Next week on Unscripted with SST, the SST team joins the conversation to break down why incident response in manufacturing fails and what controls have to be in place before something goes wrong.
