Let’s talk about your content graveyard! 💀

You know, those 247 photos sitting in your camera roll that you swore you’d post. The Reel you filmed three months ago but never edited. The Canva graphics you spent way too much time designing, only to completely forget they existed.

Here’s the good news: You probably have more usable content than you think!

That post from last year? Give it a little makeover and share it again. Turn an old blog into a carousel. Find a photo you love and give it a fresh caption. 👌

Trust me, nobody is keeping a spreadsheet of everything you’ve ever posted. Most people probably missed it the first time anyway!

So, before you spend another hour staring at a blank content calendar, go see what’s collecting dust in your content graveyard.

I think this is a step in the right direction! 👏

We've spent so much time trying to figure out what the algorithm wants, but shouldn't social media be more about what people actually want to see?

I'm really curious to see how this plays out, especially for small businesses and content creators.

What do you think? Would you rather have more control over your feed, or do you actually enjoy the algorithm introducing you to new content?

Last week, Karlie and I had an unexpected opportunity to sit down and catch up, and I have to say, it was time well spent! For those who haven’t met her, Karlie is our Marketing & Partner Engagement Coordinator/Social Media Specialist here at Organized Haven.

We spent some time talking about social media, marketing ideas, and a few things we’re hoping to accomplish in the coming months.

If you’ve noticed we’ve been a little quieter on social media lately, I can assure you it’s not because we don’t have anything going on! Quite the opposite, actually. Running a business has a way of keeping you on your toes, and there’s always something that needs your attention.

I’ve learned over the years that having the right people around you makes such a difference. It’s especially nice to have someone in your corner who understands the business, knows what’s going on behind the scenes, and just gets it without needing a lengthy explanation.

We’ve got some fun ideas, and I’m looking forward to seeing where they take us! 💙

You might not think social media matters to your business, but your potential customers probably do.

Before they call you, book with you, or visit your store, there’s a pretty good chance they’re checking you out online first. And you better believe they’re noticing things.

✨ When was their last post?
✨ Does this business still seem active?
✨ Do they look professional?
✨ Can I tell what they actually do?

They may never like a single post or follow your account, but they’re still looking. 👀

And whether we like it or not, people absolutely judge a book by its cover.

Today, we’re celebrating a milestone birthday for someone who has helped tell the Organized Haven story for five whole years - Karlie Holliday of helloCreate! 💛 Welcome to your 40s, Karlie! 🎉

As our social media manager and creative designer, Karlie works her magic largely behind the scenes. She has helped shape how Organized Haven looks, sounds, and shares its story - and when we get together, we can’t help talking about marketing, dreaming up ideas, and planning what comes next!

We recently celebrated over lunch at Nineteen61, followed by coffee at Black & Brew. During lunch, I finally revealed one secret I had somehow kept from her: I purchased NicoleRamer.com! As my service and professional relationships continue growing beyond Organized Haven and Central Florida, Karlie is the perfect person to help me connect the dots and decide how that next chapter should be shared.

We also talked about the excitement of entering our 40s - becoming more comfortable in our own skin, more intentional about our health, and even more certain about what we want to create.

After five years of working, planning, dreaming, and celebrating together, our families will finally meet at her birthday party next weekend! It feels long overdue, and I can’t wait.

Happy 40th birthday, Karlie! Thank you for believing in the Organized Haven story - and for always being ready to help create whatever comes next. 💛

I’ve heard several top social media experts talking about the return of “boring marketing” lately, and as a social media manager…Thank God! 😂

The days of the perfectly curated feed are fading. Not every post needs a trending audio, clever hook, or a perfectly polished graphic. People are craving content that feels more natural and actually human.

That doesn’t mean branding and strategy don’t matter, it just means we can stop trying to reinvent the wheel with every single post.

Talk about what you do, answer the questions your customers are asking, and share the random photo. Trust me, they probably didn’t see it the first time anyway. Ha!

Can I get a “HELL YEAH!” for less performing for the algorithm and more marketing the actual business?! 👏

I swear if I see one more AI-generated social media graphic with the same font, glowing text, stock photo, and electric blue and hot pink color palette, I may lose it! 🙄

You know exactly what I’m talking about because you’ve seen them too. They all look the same, and after a while, they all blur together.

If your content looks like everyone else’s, why would anyone stop scrolling for yours?

I know it’s faster to generate a graphic in 30 seconds, but your audience can tell the difference…TRUST!

Just some food for thought…💭🤔

This is unlike any organization I’ve had the opportunity to work with, and after learning more about their vision, I can honestly say I can’t wait to help share their story. What they’re building has the potential to make a lasting impact on the community through art, culture, education, and connection.
