A host reply that says "we're monitoring" tells you they're watching. It doesn't tell you whether the PHP fix is on your server.

Your host is the company you pay to keep your website online. PHP is the software your WordPress site runs on behind the scenes, and the fix for its October 21 bugs goes on the host's server, the computer your site lives on.

Reply on the same thread. You can paste this:

Thanks for the update. To close this out, please confirm in writing:
1. Is the fix for CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 installed on the server [yourdomain.com] runs on? Yes or no.
2. If yes, on what date, and which PHP version is my site on now?
3. If no, what date do you expect it?

The build fee waiver ends one of two ways: at 11:59 pm Central on Saturday, October 31, 2026, or when the tenth payment lands, whichever comes first.

If you've been weighing a new website, the start is short. We begin the first draft from your current site and your public profiles, so the clock doesn't wait on a long form. The first draft is ready for your review within 10 business days of payment, and nothing goes live until you approve it.

Build fee waived (usually 900,000 Rivets, $4,500) with an annual plan of 200K Rivets a month or more ($10,200 a year, paid up front), paid by 11:59 pm Central on Saturday, October 31, 2026. First 10 shops, in the order payments start. Hosting and SEO use 125,000 Rivets a month from your plan. 12-month commitment. First draft ready for your review within 10 business days of payment.

Questions before you decide? Send us a message. Plans and checkout are on our offer page.

Who the build fee waiver is for, and who it isn't.

It isn't for a shop whose WordPress site does its job and has the October 21 PHP fix, confirmed in writing by its host. Keep that site. The news alone isn't a reason to replace it.

It's for a shop that was already planning a new website and wants one that doesn't run WordPress or PHP, the software WordPress runs on behind the scenes. On our sites, the October 21 PHP bugs have nothing to attach to. Every kind of website software gets security bugs, ours included. What changes is who's on the hook for fixing them.

Build fee waived (usually 900,000 Rivets, $4,500) with an annual plan of 200K Rivets a month or more ($10,200 a year, paid up front), paid by 11:59 pm Central on Saturday, October 31, 2026. The build fee waiver on our websites closes at 11:59 pm Central on Saturday, October 31, 2026, or sooner if 10 shops pay first.

What the website is: a site built by our studio that doesn't run WordPress or PHP (the software WordPress runs on behind the scenes), so the October 21 PHP bugs have nothing to attach to. The first draft is ready for your review within 10 business days of payment, and your domain stays registered in your name.

The terms, in full:

The photos of your trucks, the reviews your customers wrote, the words on your service pages, and your logo: on a website we build, they're yours.

Your domain stays registered in your name, and your content is yours. That holds on every site we build. It's worth asking whoever runs your site now where your domain and content stand, whether or not you ever work with us.

Our sites also don't run WordPress or PHP, the software WordPress runs on behind the scenes, so the October 21 PHP bugs have nothing to attach to. The first draft is ready for your review within 10 business days of payment.

Every website comes with an annual plan of 200K Rivets a month or more ($10,200 a year, paid up front). Terms are on our offer page.

Want a one-page "who runs our website" note without doing it all yourself? Send this to whoever handles the office. They may already know half of it.

Hi [Name],

Can you help me put together one page about our website, [yourdomain.com]? I'd like:
1. Who hosts it, and their support number.
2. Where the domain is registered, and when it renews.
3. Who built it and who looks after it now.
4. Where the logins are kept (just where, not the passwords).
5. Which email address gets the renewal and security notices.
Invoices, card statements, and renewal emails should have most of it. Could you send it by [day]?
Thank you,
[Your name]

When it comes back, add your PHP version (PHP is the software your WordPress site runs on) and your host's last written answer about the October 21 fix.

Hosting renewal coming up? Before you pay for another year, send your host a few questions. Your host is the company you pay to keep your website online.

1. Which PHP version does my site run, and when did it last get a security fix? (PHP is the software your WordPress site runs on behind the scenes.)
2. If my site is on PHP 8.2 or older, when can you move it to 8.3 or newer? PHP 8.2 stops getting fixes on December 31, 2026, and WordPress recommends 8.3 or newer.
3. How do you tell customers about security fixes, and will you confirm them in writing when I ask?
4. Are backups included, how often do they run, and how do I get one restored?
5. Who do I call when something's wrong?

Keep the answers with your website records. If any of them come back vague, ask again before you renew.
