I'm not saying DON'T take another course. I've got a list of courses under my belt and another list I still plan to take.

What I AM saying is that sometimes another course isn't the answer to moving forward.

So β€” what's actually holding you back? From growth. From being where you pictured yourself. From running your practice the way you envisioned it.

Sit with that for a second.

Maybe it IS a course. Or maybe it's organization. A systems overhaul. A fresh approach to therapy, networking, or how you're marketing yourself.

If what you actually need is an admin reset, professional materials, or an outside set of eyes from someone who's also in this field β€” πŸ‘‹πŸ» hi, I'm Ashley. This is what I do.

Comment COACH below and I'll send you a DM β€” let's figure out where you're at.

We've all held it down with what we had.

This is what running a myo practice actually looks like sometimes, especially when you're new. Not a curated collection of the perfect supplies β€” a lot of creative problem-solving and stuff you either had or could afford.

No shame in it. Half of building a practice is figuring out what you can improvise and what's worth having done right. If you're still deciding which pile your admin and patient materials belong in β€” link in bio.

This is why every website build starts with your vision, not a template. Karen's practice needed to feel like her β€” and that's exactly what she got.

β€œAshley truly listened to my vision and took the time to understand not only what I wanted the website to look like, but also how I wanted it to represent my practice and connect with patients. She addressed every question and concern with patience, professionalism, and genuine care.”

Real talk: the Essentials Package might be the best thing to happen to your myo practice since your landlord handed you the keys.

150+ ready-to-use files β€” forms, exercise trackers, therapy handouts, graphic references, networking materials, and more β€” all built specifically for myofunctional therapists, by an actual fellow OMT.

Use them as-is or customize it with your own logo. Either way, they're ready to roll in whatever format your practice needs.

No more building from scratch. No more piecing things together at 9pm. Just organized, professional, and ready.

Growth in a myo practice doesn't always come from something new. Sometimes it comes from following through on what's already in motion β€” your patients, your referral sources, your reputation.

Patient tracking.
Following up with patients after an assessment. Logging who was referred to you and whether they've actually reached out. Keeping tabs on the ones who paused or moved to maintenance so a check-in doesn't fall through the cracks.

Make referrals easy.
Touch base with your collaborative providers β€” not just when you need something, but so they have what they need from you. The easier and more convenient you make it for them to send someone your way, the more they will.

Ask for reviews.
The obvious one, and also the one most OMTs skip. It can feel strange to ask β€” but a quick, genuine ask after a win is one of the simplest ways to build trust with the next patient who's deciding whether to reach out to you.

None of this happens by accident. If you want a second set of eyes on where your practice stands, comment COACH and I'll ask where you're at in your journey.

"Pick your ideal clientele."
"Build your practice around that demographic."
"If you don't, you won't get seen and your practice can't grow."

For the right clinician, 'niching down' works beautifully. But I don't think it should be treated like a rule every OMT has to follow to be visible and to determine before they get started.

When I opened my practice, I didn't have a niche. I offered what I'd been trained to offer and saw whoever walked through the door. That wasn't a lack of direction β€” it was how I learned who I actually wanted to serve. My focus has narrowed since then, but it happened naturally, through the work, not on a whiteboard before I ever saw a patient.

New post is up on The Bloom Room: why "niche down" isn't one-size-fits-all advice β€” what it actually gets you, why waiting on it can stall your progress, and what I'd steer clear of instead.
