High-performance computing supports some of the federal government’s most demanding missions. But compute performance alone is not enough.

Federal agencies also need fast access to data across systems, sites, and cloud environments. A modern data foundation can reduce storage bottlenecks, improve collaboration, and support traditional and new workloads.

High-performance computing is changing. Federal organizations need a data foundation that can keep pace, particularly in research and scientific agencies.

AI, machine learning, and traditional simulation workloads place different demands on infrastructure. Legacy storage architectures can create data silos, slow data access, and limit system performance.

Our new solution profile explains how agencies can modernize HPC data infrastructure, improve access across sites, support and workloads, and extend existing technology investments: https://bit.ly/4gEYOyu

Looking back on our time at TechNet Augusta, the conversations and connections stand out most.

Throughout the event, our team connected with government and industry leaders at the Hitachi Federal kiosk to discuss the priorities shaping Army and joint missions. Those conversations continued beyond the show floor through a partner lunch with Colossal Contracting and a networking social co-hosted with our partners at Norseman Defense Technologies and Extreme Networks.

We’re grateful to our partners and to everyone who shared their time and perspectives with us in Augusta. We look forward to building on the relationships strengthened this week to advance innovation in the Army and Joint Warfighting.

High-performance computing is changing. Storage architecture must keep pace.

Federal AI, advanced analytics, and simulation workloads need fast and reliable access to data. More compute power and storage capacity alone will not solve this challenge.

Organizations need a data architecture that gives users access to data across teams, sites, and hybrid environments. This architecture can reduce data movement, improve performance, and help teams use their technology investments more effectively.

That’s a wrap on DoDIIS Worldwide 2026!

From conversations at our booth to an evening reception with Federal Resources Corporation (FRC) and Denodo, this week was a valuable opportunity to connect with leaders across industry and the defense and intelligence communities.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to discuss how secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure can support mission-critical workloads and prepare agencies for AI-driven operations. We look forward to continuing the conversations started in Tampa!

Thirty nations, 30 ships, five submarines, 15 national land forces, more than 190 aircraft and more than 30,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC in and around the Hawaiian Islands, June 24 to July 31. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans.
