Today felt like a lot of things at once.

We said goodbye to my grandma this morning.

Her favorite color was sage green.

My kids wore it to her funeral today.

And today, I submitted my very first Showit template to the Design Market.

I named it Sage.

The template is built in sage green. That’s genuinely why I chose the name. But sitting in that funeral, watching my kids in her favorite color, it took on a whole new meaning.

She was the kind of woman who built things. Showed up. Got it done without making a big deal about it.

I think she would have liked knowing her favorite color is now attached to something I built.

Sage is coming soon to the Showit Design Market, a clean editorial template for marketing businesses who are done blending in.

Will AI take over my job as a web designer? 👀

I've been hearing this question for over a year now, so I finally decided to actually test it. I gave Claude, ChatGPT, and the new Claude Design feature the EXACT brief I give my paying clients. Same brand questionnaire, same ideal client details, same photos. Everything.

Some of the results were honestly impressive. AI built mobile-optimized websites, wrote SEO meta descriptions on its own, and even generated full five-page websites in minutes. I was a little nervous for my career for a second.

But there was ONE consistent thing AI got wrong every single time. And it's the same thing that would tank your conversions if you used AI to build your business website.
