GoWeb1 was proud to sponsor last week’s giving event, hosted by 100+ Who Care In Springfield at The Crafted Stag.

Thanks to the generosity of attendees, $15,000 was awarded to local nonprofits: Journey Like June Foundation received the evening’s top award of $10,000, The James Project received $3,000, and Compass for Kids received $2,000. Each organization shared a look at the work they do and the lives they impact every day, a strong reminder of why this community comes together.

Our own Lara Donovan serves on the 100+ Who Care in Springfield board and helped plan the event, and Mark and Chandra Roberts joined her in the room to show their support. Congratulations to all the recipients. What a great night!

Congratulations to the Illinois Certification Board on a beautiful inaugural gala at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum in Springfield! We’ve had the pleasure of working with Linda from Birding Beyond the Field Guide for the past few years, stepping in as a technical resource and trusted partner as she continues sharing her love of birding, nature, and conservation with readers around the world. Linda’s website was already established when we began working together, and our role has been helping her overcome technical challenges, provide ongoing guidance and developing an e-commerce option to ensure her valuable content continues reaching the birding community she serves.

What makes Linda so special is her dedication. While many passion projects eventually slow down later in life, Linda continues creating new content, documenting her travels, and inspiring others to look a little closer at the wildlife around them.

It’s a great reminder of how much there is to discover when we take the time to appreciate the natural world.
