[Genius Firmware 2.0 + iOS App]
Feature highlights:
- 100% Fully rewritten from Genius Firmware 1
- All interfaces are now mobile-friendly and can be managed from your phone.
- Single binary file for all controllers in the Genius line—no more determining which update file to use.
- MDNS support
- More network insights and tools to troubleshoot networking-related issues.
- Ability to set system time, with NTP support
- Companion Bluetooth iOS app for permanent lighting and custom animations (no sequencer or show player required) -- Android App will be available in the future.
- Live UDP incoming packet view
- SD card animation scheduling
- SD card real-time seek & scrub
- Incoming data prioritization (DDP vs. SD card vs. Bluetooth)
- Ability to change pixel data protocol, with the option to customize your own if not listed
- Support for 8, 12, and 16-bit lighting protocols
- Outputs page has a lot of improvements in UI navigation, including arrow key support for moving between input boxes
- Test modes now utilizes the new built-in animation engine
- Ability to set test mode speed (slow → fast)
- Ability to retain test settings through reboots (for customers who want to keep their controller in test mode)
- Wi-Fi client mode may be available depending on your product
- Wi-Fi hotspot auto-off option to disable after a set time to save memory
Where can you get it?
- The firmware will be available for download at the end of next week for early adopters to try out.
