🎉 Congratulations to the Bangladeshi General Practitioners Association of Australia-BGPAA ! 🎉

BGPAA successfully held its Annual General Meeting, Clinical & Educational Conference, Gala Dinner and Cultural Night 2026 on Saturday, 29 August 2026, on the Gold Coast, Queensland. More than 150 doctors and around 300 guests took part in the day-long program.

🩺 Clinical & Educational Conference
Dr Catherine Hester, Chair of RACGP Queensland, was the keynote speaker. Specialists in cardiology, endocrinology, public health, nephrology, psychiatry, palliative care and paediatrics presented in CPD sessions. His Excellency Mr F. M. Burhan Uddin, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Australia, also addressed the gathering. The BGPAA Annual General Meeting followed the CPD program.

🎭 Gala Dinner & Cultural Night: "Abar Elo Je Shondhya"
At Nerang Bicentennial Hall, Bangladeshi doctors and the next generation presented music, dance, poetry and theatre. The night closed with a comedy-style Jatra performance. Honorary awards were presented to His Excellency Mr F. M. Burhan Uddin, Dr Abdur Rashid Alamgir and Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmed.

Founded in 2020, BGPAA supports the approximately 1,100 Bangladeshi general practitioners working across Australia. Events like this keep a professional community connected to each other and to home. 🇧🇩🇦🇺

DUEDAA Get Together 2026 – A Wonderful Gathering.🎉

The Dhaka University Economics Department Alumni Association (DUEDAA) recently hosted its Get Together 2026 at RAOWA Club, Dhaka. It was a truly memorable evening filled with warmth, laughter, and reconnecting with old friends.

Sardar Md. Sakhawat Husain MP, Minister, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, honoured the occasion as Chief Guest, along with Dr. Firdousi Naher, Professor and Chairperson, Department of Economics, Dhaka University, as Special Guest, and Syed Ali Jowher Rizvi, President, DUEDAA, as Chairperson.
