TrekMail Update | August 2026

πŸ”— One address across multiple domains
We launched Domain Alias.

You can connect another domain and receive mail at matching addresses automatically.

[email protected] β†’ [email protected]
[email protected] β†’ [email protected]

No need to create aliases for every mailbox. It works automatically for existing and future addresses.

Domain Alias is available from Starter, and forwarding addresses are now available on Pro.

πŸ€– Better White Label experience
White Label now goes further across AI and MCP.

Customers using your branded mail service see your own brand, domain, logo and colors throughout the authorization experience, without TrekMail appearing where it shouldn't.

πŸ“¨ Better forwarding and replies
Forwarded emails now preserve inline images, tables, image sizes and more of the original formatting.

We also fixed several reply and draft issues, including a bug where minimizing the compose window could clear the draft.

πŸ’³ Smoother billing
We improved how failed and recovered payments are handled, with clearer grace periods and fewer situations that require manual support.

Different TrekMail products are also handled independently, so one billing issue does not unnecessarily affect everything else on the account.

✨ Easier signup
Signup now handles difficult CAPTCHA cases better instead of simply rejecting legitimate users.

Password requirements are also shown before submission, making account creation more straightforward.

🌐 DNS, security & reliability
We shipped another large round of improvements across DNS, DKIM, email delivery, migrations, account security, performance and infrastructure.

Everything in this update is already live.

TrekMail Update | August 2026

πŸ€– AI agents can now buy and set up TrekMail

TrekMail now supports agent-native purchasing through the Machine Payments Protocol.

An AI agent can discover our offer, create an account, pay through Stripe, and purchase Pro or Agency, Cloud Drive, White Label or Verifier credits without a person going through checkout.

The same flow works through REST and MCP.

πŸ“¬ More control over mailboxes

White Label and agency customers can now disable Drive for specific mailboxes or multiple users on a domain, across webmail, API, MCP, WebDAV, search and large-attachment uploads.

We also added Suspend Login. It blocks access while keeping the mailbox active, so new mail still arrives. Existing sessions and credentials are revoked at the same time.

πŸ“€ Send without moving your incoming email

Domains can now be configured as sending-only.

Keep incoming mail on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or another provider while using TrekMail to send from your domain. Ownership is verified, but your MX records stay where they are.

Send As also works with shared mailboxes, API and MCP.

πŸ‘₯ Better shared mailboxes

Shared mailboxes now keep their own signature and Default CC/BCC settings. The same defaults apply to API and AI-agent messages, while scheduled replies preserve signatures and quoted content.

✨ Smarter onboarding

Signup now remembers what brought someone to TrekMail. White Label visitors go directly into the White Label experience, while Drive visitors see the relevant Drive trial instead of a generic wizard.

Domain setup, SPF handling and onboarding improved too.

🌐 DNS & deliverability

DKIM now detects the selector in use and can choose another when needed. SPF validation and Cloudflare handling were improved, while sending-only domains are protected from accidental MX changes.

πŸ“¨ Webmail, API & MCP

Search now survives folder changes, scheduled-send controls appear correctly, sender settings work better on mobile, and signatures no longer add unwanted blank space.

Draft operations now handle idempotency correctly, saved drafts return their UID, and mailbox defaults are respected by API and agent-generated messages.

πŸ” Security & reliability

Another large audit covered concurrency, interrupted operations, authorization and recovery across mail, Drive, DNS, billing, credentials, migrations and background jobs.

Many operations now recover more safely after partial failures instead of creating duplicates or incomplete state.

We also fixed a Dovecot issue where repeated attachment reads could slowly increase memory usage. The fix was deployed to production immediately.

🌍 Docs and customer-facing controls were updated across all 13 supported languages.

More coming soon.

TrekMail Update | Mid-August 2026

A lot has changed since our last update β€” especially around White Label.

πŸ‘₯ Client & Team Access

White Label customers can now invite clients and employees directly into their branded dashboard.

Choose from six roles, from full client access to mailbox-only, read-only or fully custom permissions. Each person only sees the domains and features assigned to them.

There’s also an activity log and account switcher for people working across multiple accounts.

🎨 Your brand in Outlook, Apple Mail & more

White Label can now use your own mail server addresses:

"imap.yourdomain.com"
"smtp.yourdomain.com"

Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird and phones can now be configured with your name instead of TrekMail.

Your Dashboard, Webmail, emails and mail settings can all stay under your brand.

✨ Preview before you buy

You can now create a White Label preview with your own domain, logo, name and colors β€” without a card or DNS changes.

Open a working branded Dashboard and Webmail, or explore a ready-made demo.

White Label also now includes a 30-day free trial.

🌐 One-click DNS

White Label customers can optionally let clients configure Cloudflare DNS in one step instead of copying records manually.

We also improved the setup flow after purchase so TrekMail takes you to the right domain and shows what still needs to be completed.

πŸ’³ Pricing & payments

White Label is now available as a standalone product:

$39/month or $389/year

Customers already paying for TrekMail email receive 10% off automatically.

Checkout also supports more payment methods, including Amazon Pay and Cash App where available.

☁️ Cloud Drive

Drive received a major reliability update.

Uploads recover better after interruptions, storage reporting is more accurate, and shared folders, deleted files and large transfers are handled more safely.

We also rebuilt the Drive page with interactive examples for storage, backups, WebDAV and MCP.

πŸ“¨ Webmail & email

We improved signatures, drafts, shared mailboxes, blocked senders, search, calendars, image loading and external sending accounts.

Mail migrations are also more reliable, including better handling of international folder names and duplicate messages.

πŸ” Security

Another security pass covered login sessions, 2FA, OAuth, payments, team access and API credentials.

Removing a person or credential now revokes related access more consistently, and additional protections were added to keep accounts isolated from each other.

πŸ›‘οΈ Login protection

We improved protection against repeated failed logins so suspicious attempts can be blocked without unnecessarily locking out trusted office or shared-network users.

βš™οΈ Reliability

Hundreds of fixes were completed across White Label, billing, Drive, mail, migrations, DNS, shared mailboxes, contacts, calendars, affiliates and backups.

The biggest focus was safer retries, interrupted operations, duplicate processing and preventing one failed task from affecting others.

🌍 Documentation & languages

We published new guides for Client & Team Access, branded IMAP/SMTP and one-click DNS, and updated existing White Label documentation.

The new experience is also available across all 13 supported languages.

More coming soon.

TrekMail Update | Early August 2026

The biggest update this week is Send As for connected accounts.

You can now connect Gmail, Outlook, or an inbox to TrekMail and reply from your business address. TrekMail selects From address, uses the assigned route, and saves the sent copy in the connected account’s Sent folder.

Send As is available in Webmail on Starter and above. Pro and Agency customers can also use it through the API and MCP without exposing SMTP credentials.

πŸ“… Calendar import

Webmail now supports .ics imports. Upload a file, preview the events, and confirm. Duplicates are avoided, time zones are preserved, and CalDAV apps sync automatically.

🏷️ White Label

White Label Lite checkout now supports promo codes. We also fixed links that could send users from branded webmail to TrekMail-branded pages, so customers remain inside your brand.

πŸŒ“ Theme switch

The light and dark mode selector is now a single accessible sun-and-moon switch that respects reduced-motion settings.

πŸ“Ž Webmail fixes

We fixed the endless search spinner that could appear when searching from an open message.

Temporary uploads are no longer deleted before a message is accepted, so failed sends can be retried without losing attachments.

We also improved login tracking, password resets, two-factor authentication, mobile menus, sending-address controls, and Drive actions.

πŸ” Security and privacy

Another security review covered authentication, OAuth, account isolation, logs, exports, admin actions, and external integrations.

Sensitive data is now removed from more logs. One-time credentials, email verification, OAuth tokens, preview sessions, CSV exports, and cross-account protections were strengthened.

πŸ“¨ Mail infrastructure

Webmail login protection was repaired after log rotation caused failed attempts to stop reaching the blocking system.

The new system distinguishes unfamiliar IPs from trusted office or shared-network addresses, helping block suspicious attempts without locking out entire companies.

One malformed DMARC report can also no longer stop the processing queue.

We also improved SMTP validation, catch-all routing, Sieve, Cloudflare DNS cleanup, MTA-STS, and delivery monitoring.

βš™οΈ Reliability

More reliability work was completed across billing, subscriptions, Drive, migrations, DNS, shared mailboxes, contacts, calendar, the Email Verifier, affiliates, and backups.

Hundreds of edge cases were fixed around retries, race conditions, partial failures, stale data, duplicate processing, and background jobs.

🌍 Documentation and localisation

We published new Send As guides and updated documentation across the platform.

Account notifications now use the selected language, with more interface and error messages completed across all 13 supported languages.

TrekMail Update | Late July 2026
The biggest update this week is native IMAP and SMTP access for shared mailboxes.
Team members can now use shared TrekMail mailboxes in Apple Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, and other email apps.
Each member connects using their own TrekMail credentials. Access is updated automatically when someone is added to or removed from the shared mailbox.
This means one person can use TrekMail Webmail while another works from a desktop or mobile email app. Everyone still works with the same mailbox.

We also improved shared mailbox navigation in Webmail with clearer icons, better context, and a cleaner sidebar.

πŸ“± Easier email app setup
We added a single setup screen for connecting TrekMail mailboxes to external email apps.
You can now find your connection details and setup instructions directly in the Dashboard or Webmail.
Apple users can download a configuration profile that automatically sets up Apple Mail with the correct IMAP and SMTP settings.
The same setup information is also available through the TrekMail API and MCP.

πŸ“Ž Webmail improvements
Attachment downloads and image galleries are now more reliable.
We also fixed several issues involving unusual message dates, mobile search filters, Google Groups senders, and the β€œSelect all” action.

πŸ” Stronger account security
We improved password validation across registration, login, password recovery, account settings, and other sensitive actions.
We also strengthened encryption, account isolation, and identity validation.
Two security researchers were added to the TrekMail Security Hall of Fame after responsibly reporting issues that helped us improve the platform.

βš™οΈ More than 150 reliability fixes
We reviewed many operations that can run at the same time, fail halfway through, or need to be retried.
This resulted in fixes across billing, subscriptions, DNS, migrations, Drive, contacts, shared mailboxes, support tickets, white-label domains, SMTP delivery, backups, and the Email Verifier.

Most of these were rare edge cases. Together, they make TrekMail more reliable during large workloads, server updates, retries, and unexpected interruptions.

07/11/2026

TrekMail Update β€” Mid-July 2026

This week’s biggest release: Connected Accounts.

You can now connect almost any email account to TrekMail β€” Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, Microsoft 365, or any provider that supports IMAP and SMTP.

Once connected, you can read and send mail from that account directly inside TrekMail, switch between accounts from the sidebar, and see everything together in the Unified Inbox.

Outlook received special attention. Both personal Outlook.com accounts and business Microsoft 365 accounts can be connected securely through Microsoft OAuth β€” without creating app passwords or entering server settings manually.

Connected accounts are also available through the TrekMail API and MCP, making it possible to manage and use external mailboxes from your own applications and AI agents.

πŸ‘₯ Contacts import and export

Contacts can now be imported and exported directly from TrekMail.

We added support for the major contact formats, larger address books, contact groups, clearer import errors, and API and MCP access.

This makes it much easier to move contacts from another provider or manage them programmatically.

πŸ“¦ More reliable migrations

We fixed several difficult migration cases involving unusual folder names, broken character encoding, interrupted transfers, retries, duplicates, and multiple accounts being migrated into one mailbox.

Migration errors are now easier to understand and available in all 13 supported languages.

⚑️ A much faster TrekMail

We completed one of our largest performance and infrastructure upgrades so far.

We increased server capacity across many servers, added additional infrastructure, improved background processing, and rebuilt several of the slowest parts of Webmail.

Opening folders and emails, searching, switching mailboxes, bulk actions, migrations, verification, and other background operations are now significantly faster.

The platform also handles traffic spikes and large workloads much better without slowing down for everyone else.

πŸ›  Hundreds of fixes across the platform

We also fixed hundreds of smaller issues across Webmail, mailboxes, migrations, contacts, calendars, Drive, billing, DNS, deliverability, shared mailboxes, support, security, API, MCP, and admin systems.

Many of these were rare edge cases that most users would never encounter individually. Together, they make TrekMail noticeably faster, more reliable, and more predictable.

07/08/2026

Your email contains contracts, invoices, passwords, personal conversations, and business strategy. Every day.

Some providers scan it to serve ads. Some use it to train AI models. Some share metadata with law enforcement without telling you. Some do all three.

The question isn't whether you trust your provider today. It's whether their business model requires them to monetize your data eventually.

Ad-supported email is free because your attention is the product.
AI-bundled email gets more expensive because the AI needs your data to improve.
Infrastructure email charges for the service and has no reason to touch the contents.

TrekMail is infrastructure. No ads. No scanning. No AI training on your messages. Not because of a policy that could change β€” because the business model doesn't require it.

Do you know what your email provider does with your data?

07/05/2026

TrekMail Update β€” Early July 2026

Another big update is live β€” focused on making TrekMail faster, easier to use, and better for anyone managing more than one mailbox.

πŸ“₯ One inbox for all your mailboxes
You can now view all your mailboxes in one place.
The new Unified Inbox brings messages from every mailbox you have access to into a single clean view. Each email shows where it came from, so you always know which mailbox received it.
Search also works across multiple mailboxes now, so you don’t have to jump between inboxes to find one message.
This is especially useful for teams, agencies, shared mailboxes, and anyone managing several addresses.

⚑️ Faster webmail
Webmail now feels much quicker across the board.
Opening folders, switching between mailboxes, loading more emails, searching, marking messages as read, and working with shared mailboxes should all feel smoother and faster.
We also improved login speed and reduced small visual annoyances like broken avatar flashes.

πŸ‘₯ Better shared mailboxes
Shared mailboxes are now easier to work with.
Each team member can give a shared mailbox their own display name without changing it for everyone else.
The mailbox sidebar can also be resized, so you can make the layout fit the way you work.

πŸ—‘ Mailbox Recycle Bin
Deleting a mailbox is now safer.
Instead of being removed immediately, deleted mailboxes now go into a 7-day recycle bin. You can restore them if it was a mistake, or permanently delete them when you’re sure.
While a mailbox is in the recycle bin, it will no longer receive or forward new mail.

βœ… Read receipts
TrekMail now supports read receipts.
When sending an email, you can request a receipt and see when supported recipients confirm they opened it.
This uses the standard email receipt system β€” not hidden tracking pixels.

β†ͺ️ Better forwarding and attachments
Forwarded emails now keep embedded images properly, instead of losing them.
We also improved attachment previews, bulk downloads, encoded filenames, and fixed an issue where some external images could appear broken in webmail.

πŸ“± Better mobile experience
We made another mobile pass across webmail.
Message lists, buttons, Trash, date columns, and other small layout details now work better on smaller screens.

πŸ” Security improvements
We shipped another security pass across account access and password recovery.
Password changes now log out other sessions, older mail security protocols were disabled, password reset protection was tightened, and several background safeguards were improved.

Thanks again to the researchers who reported issues responsibly through our Security Hall of Fame program.

πŸ›  More reliability in the background
A lot of this update happened behind the scenes.
We fixed a large number of rare edge cases across billing, mailboxes, Drive, migrations, DNS automation, calendars, contacts, shared mailboxes, 2FA recovery codes, and more.
Most users won’t notice these directly β€” they simply make TrekMail more stable and harder to break under unusual conditions.

🌍 Continued localization work
We also continued improving the 13-language experience across billing, public pages, settings, and mailbox actions.

Overall, this update makes TrekMail faster, safer, and much easier to use β€” especially if you manage multiple mailboxes, shared inboxes, or client accounts from one place.
