Polypropylene Announcement!

We are pleased to announce the official launch of our 3D printed polypropylene orthotics. With summer around the corner and people out exercising more, being able to offer a softer, lighter, and more flexible material than the industry standard PA-11 Nylon is ideal. This is where our Polypropylene is the perfect option!

As the first orthotic lab in Australia to print devices combining industry-leading LaserCAM Orthotics RapidShell 3D software and Formlabs amazing polypropylene material, we are raising the benchmark for rigid devices. Formlabs' polypropylene, with a flexural modulus of 1327 MPa, offers properties closer to common injection-moulded polypropylenes traditionally used in vacuum-formed orthotic devices than PA-11 Nylon.

We will be holding an informative event in Perth in three weeks time.

This is a great opportunity to gain valuable exposure to what the future of orthotic design by Podiatrists should look like. By taking an educational and informative approach, we aim to help conquer some fears regarding orthotic prescription and change the way clinicians take control of orthotic outcomes.

The event will be hosted by Konrad Job from LaserCAM Orthotics and Shane Toohey from Artisan Orthotics.

🦶 Celebrating Positive Podiatry! ✨

We've been inspired by the positive podiatry posts shared by clinicians on Bridge the Gap - Podiatry. So, over the weekend, we decided to spread this positivity further by organising an event for some of the orthotic labs that passionately service the profession in Australia.

The result? Five orthotic labs sent podiatrists and technicians to Adelaide for the inaugural LaserCAM Olympics! It was a fantastic event filled with friendly competition (and best orthotic making bragging rights!), valuable discussions, knowledge sharing and a whole lot of learning.

The energy and enthusiasm was incredible, and everyone left with new insights and a sense of camaraderie. Anthony Dwyer even made an appearance as a guest judge.

Originally, we planned to hold this event every four years, in line with the actual Olympics. However, based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback, the LaserCAM Olympics will now be an annual event! We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the following labs who dedicated their time and resources to make the event a success. Your dedication to your clients was clear to see.🎉

Attention all Brisbane Pods!

Thank you to everyone who reached out or responded to our previous post about the new RapidShell orthotic design software.

If you are wondering why your current orthotic supplier isn't able to replicate the shape of your patient's foot, or you are simply interested to see how orthotics should be designed in a truly morphologic way, this event is for you. Our Rapidshell 2.0 software has been developed in-house in Australia, based off years of feedback from local clinicians. It is one of the only free, morphology based software platforms in the market for clinicians looking to design their own orthoses.

Due to the positive response, we have decided to run the event on TWO days. In keeping with our aim to provide a series of informative workshops tailored around professional development, orthotic prescription and orthotic design, we are pleased to announce that we will be hosting the events at the place where many of you may have started your Podiatry journey, at QUT (Queensland University of Technology).

We have even managed to invite a familiar face to many in Matthew Triggs to make a guest appearance to talk about orthotic prescription at the workshops.

We will be in Brisbane between the 5th and the 7th of September and due to the interest shown in our new software, we are looking to host a session on our Rapidshell 2.0 orthotic modelling software.

Our Rapidshell 2.0 software has been developed in-house, and based on years of feedback from clinicians.
