We recently spent a fantastic couple of days at the WA Rangers Association Professional Development Conference!

The Zoodata team was delighted to attend and connect with so many dedicated ranger and local government professionals from across Western Australia.

A highlight of the conference was catching up with many of our valued Inspect clients and hearing about the important work they are doing in their communities. Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat, shared your experiences, and provided feedback on Inspect.

We're also excited to welcome Shire of Northam, Shire of Brookton, and the City of Armadale to the growing Inspect community. These organisations will be using Zoodata Inspect to streamline and digitise their upcoming firebreak inspection programs, helping their teams work more efficiently both in the office and in the field.

The conference once again highlighted the vital role rangers play in protecting and supporting their communities, and we are proud to provide technology which helps make their job easier.

At an Environmental Health Conference several years ago we heard a fascinating presentation from the City of Armadale EHO relating to a cat hoarding case they had dealt with.

While many people associate animal hoarding with a love of pets, the reality can be far more complex. Cat hoarding can lead to significant animal welfare concerns, neighbourhood impacts, environmental health issues, and difficult outcomes for the individuals involved.

It's a reminder environmental health officers often deal with much more than food safety and public health inspections. They are frequently called upon to work alongside animal management, community services, and welfare organisations to address complex situations that require both compassion and practical intervention.

The City of Swan recently highlighted a similar case, demonstrating this issue affects many communities across Australia.

Cases like these demonstrate the diverse and important work undertaken by local governments every day to support both people and animals in our communities. Our rates cover a wide range of activities, NOT just roads and rubbish!

An individual has been convicted and fined following an investigation that resulted in the removal of 110 cats from a Beechboro property and surrounding neighbourhood.

We’re at the EHAWA State Conference with Zoodata Inspect, enjoying the opportunity to meet and talk with Environmental Health Officers from across WA.

It was also great to see Nathan and Viet meeting end users face‑to‑face and gathering EHO feedback. They did a fantastic job listening, answering questions, and sharing how Inspect supports real‑world environmental health work.

Zoodata has successfully passed our ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) accreditation.

This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to protecting client data and continuously improving how we manage information security. A special thanks goes to one of our senior developers who led the establishment of a new, streamlined ISMS that is both practical and effective across the business.

Well done to the whole Zoodata team!
