On 18 June 2026, Australia's four Tranche 2 affected professions will share a room for the first time. Lawyers, conveyancers, real estate agents, and accounting professionals will hear from AUSTRAC in a single session, examining the same legislation, the same obligations, and the questions none of them have been able to answer in isolation.

It has never happened before. And Bobbie Wan will be on the panel.

As Head of Regulatory Policy and Strategy at the NSW Law Society, Bobbie carries the profession's authoritative position on the tensions that sit most acutely with legal practitioners. How do customer due diligence obligations interact with solicitor-client duty? When multiple regulated parties share the same matter, how do reliance provisions actually apply? These are not abstract questions for lawyers and conveyancers. They are the questions that determine whether a compliance program holds up under scrutiny.

On 18 June, those questions are examined with the regulator present, alongside the other professions who will be sitting across the table from you on the same transactions.
Complimentary. 18 June. 9:00 am AEST. Register below.

Firms will also retain access to a standalone VOI option for matters that fall outside designated services.

Welcome to edition 3 of AML Pulse 🚨

Activity across the AML/CTF market has exploded. Since our last update:
• More than 3,000 additional Tranche 2 firms have enrolled with AUSTRAC
• National enrolments have now surpassed 11,000 businesses
• More than 100 firms per day are adopting the InfoTrack Compliance Centre to build their program, train staff and prepare for commencement

With less than 25 business days remaining until 1 July, firms across legal, conveyancing, accounting and real estate are now moving quickly to operationalise their AML/CTF obligations.

Importantly, from 1 June, the existing InfoTrackID and VOI experience will evolve into our new AML onboarding solution.

This enhanced workflow will include VOI, PEPs, Sanctions & Adverse media Checks, KYC/KYB questionnaires, risk assessments and more. Everything you need to be AML/CTF compliant, through one guided workflow.

This gives you a 30 day runway before commencement to familiarise yourself with the new onboarding workflow and start building internal processes before obligations go live.

Momentum is building across the industry. The countdown is officially on.

See you in the next update.

An important reminder for practitioners ahead of 1 June 2026.

The NSW Contract for Sale of Land will be updated on 1 June, marking the first amendment to the standard contract since 2022. While the changes are relatively modest, continuing to use the 2022 edition after the commencement date carries genuine legal risk for vendors, including the potential for purchasers to exercise rescission rights, even after exchange.

This is particularly relevant for existing listings, extended or re-launched campaigns, properties returning to market after a failed sale, and auction contracts prepared well in advance. InfoTrack's NSW Contract Workflow and NSW Contract Review tool have already incorporated the 2026 version, so practitioners working in the platform can proceed with confidence from day one.

Now is timely opportunity to review your current campaigns and processes. If you'd like additional support, our team can provide a complimentary demonstration. Get in touch here: https://ow.ly/fJVk50Z2ZXq

AI becomes far more useful when it can work with trusted, real-world data.

Last week’s session, "Grounding AI Agents: How to give your AI real-world data with MCP" at AWS Summit Sydney, reinforced a clear shift: the conversation on AI has moved quickly from curiosity to application.

The opportunity is not in the model alone. It is in what becomes possible when AI can securely access the trusted data, services and workflows that real legal and conveyancing work depends on.

That is where InfoTrack’s Model Context Protocol comes in.

Professionals can now move faster, reduce manual effort, and work with greater confidence because the AI they use is connected to authoritative, real-world data at the point of work

The flow-on effect is stronger customer experiences: less friction, faster turnaround, and greater confidence in the outcome.

AI should not add another layer of complexity.

It should improve the work itself and strengthen the experience clients deliver to their customers.

What does a well-designed AML/CTF compliance program actually look like in practice?

On 18 June, Brendan Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of AUSTRAC, will open The Industry Collective Speaks with a direct address to legal, conveyancing, accounting and real estate professionals, just two weeks before Tranche 2 obligations go live on 1 July 2026.

This is a rare opportunity. For the first time, all four professions will hear from the regulator in a shared forum, with dedicated time for the questions that matter most to each sector.

Brendan will address what a proportionate, risk-based compliance approach looks like across entities of different sizes, and what AUSTRAC expects as each profession builds confidence in its obligations post 1 July.

If you are preparing your firm for what comes next, this is the conversation to be part of.

Register for the complimentary virtual event, 18 June, 9.00 to 10.30am AEST here: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/4317790727193/WN_h_shj92mSf2I0r0YrmrRlQ

Welcome back to AML Pulse.

We're getting closer. AML/CTF activity across Australia continues to accelerate as we move closer to the July 1 deadline. In the last 7 days alone, more than 400 firms have started building their AML/CTF programs and training staff inside the InfoTrack Compliance Centre.

AUSTRAC has now confirmed that more than 8,000 Tranche 2 businesses are enrolled nationally across legal, conveyancing, accounting and real estate, with the real estate sector leading the charge.

This week, we also released a new feature inside the Compliance Centre, allowing firms to upload and store their own risk assessments if the digitised AUSTRAC Starter Kit risk assessment isn’t suitable.

And on June 18, we’re bringing together leaders from across legal, conveyancing, accounting, real estate and AUSTRAC for a national Industry Collective discussion on the future of Tranche 2 AML/CTF.

The event is complimentary and livestreamed nationally. Register here: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/5317792517257/WN_h_shj92mSf2I0r0YrmrRlQ

On 18 June, InfoTrack brings together, for the first time in Australia, the voices of Tranche 2 AML/CTF. Every conversation to date has happened within a single industry, in isolation. That ends here, before 1 July makes compliance real.

This is where the conversation evolves.

You’re invited to join legal, conveyancing, accounting and real estate in one national forum, not separate rooms or fragmented conversations, but a single discussion confronting the same legislation and the same deadline, in the defining conversation before Tranche 2 goes live.

Featuring:
Brendan Thomas, CEO, AUSTRAC
Bobbie Wan, Head of Regulatory Policy & Strategy, Law Society of NSW
Jennie Tonner, President, AICNSW
Nicole Unger, General Counsel, REINSW
Jill Muir, Senior Policy Advocate, CA ANZ
Richard Storey, Partner, Risk Consulting, Grant Thornton

And you won’t just listen, you’ll be part of it. Ask questions directly to regulators, industry leaders and practitioners, and hear how they are preparing for the realities of Tranche 2 before the deadline arrives.

Some events report on change. This one will help shape it.

Register now to join the conversation https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/9617788283522/WN_h_shj92mSf2I0r0YrmrRlQ
