Brand Identity for Kevin's Barber Shop 💛🖤🤍

A Sydney barber shop brand exploration created as an early visual identity case study with Kevin barber shop

The direction was to build something traditional, recognisable, and full of character. A flexible identity system inspired by classic barber culture while still feeling bold enough to stand out.

I explored a full logo system including custom lettering, barber inspired iconography, supporting assets, a black and gold colour palette, and a visual identity designed to work across signage, merchandise, social media, and print applications.

And yes... the moustache was non negotiable. That's why it's front and centre. Pun intended 😂

Turns out trying to be impressive online all the time is kind of exhausting.

For awhile there I genuinely thought the answer was more content, more tips, more showing off, more “look how creative I am” energy.
But honestly… the moment I stopped trying to entertain everyone and just let the work do the talking, CJ Ink Designs started feeling a lot more like me again.

And weirdly enough… that’s when more people started connecting with me too.

A quick thought 🤔🎓

Everyone says creatives should post more content… and they’re probably right 😂

But nobody really talks about how strange it feels talking into your phone or screens while trying to build something real at the same time.

Big shoutout again to Remember Kate Production and Tom Alfry Coaching for trusting me with their brands recently as well. I am grateful for the opportunities, the reviews, and the lessons along the way.

Anyway… back to it and onto the next client!

A quick thought 🤔🎓

After chatting with Laura Higgins and checking out one of her free workshops recently, it got me thinking about how important clarity really is before anything else.
