Normally, you put the tractor away in the shed, expecting it'll go next time. Well, this particular New Holland 8770 had other ideas; Nasty, smoky, machine's now broken ideas. Anyway, it's now fixed, so that chimney installation can be postponed or cancelled. The instrument cluster was the main issue, but the CCM also had a couple fault codes. The RHC got some preventative maintenance. All ready to go back into service.

There's been a stack of Caterpillar stuff in to fix, lately. An early 3176 engine ecu, a hydraulic controller for a 980G loader, and a transmission controller for a 12H grader. Today, this little instrument cluster out of a D6. It had LCD polariser failure. All fixed, ready for work again.

We get questions on a regular basis regarding the procedure to obtain a permit to burn.

Whether it's a bush block, a small paddock or a stack, you need a permit to burn if it's more than 2m in any direction. These permits are free.

See here for more information:
https://www.fire.qld.gov.au/safety-education/using-fire-outdoors/lighting-fires-in-queensland

You must contact your fire warden to obtain a permit to burn. To get the details of the fire warden for your location, go here :
https://www.fire.qld.gov.au/safety-education/using-fire-outdoors/fire-wardens

If you're in the Withcott Rural Fire Brigade area, we can assist with planning and performing permitted burns. Now is a great time to think about what you need to do to improve the fire safety of your property, before summer is upon us.

Remember in an emergency to ring 000.

If you're on a promise, but you've still got a bit to finish...
Maybe.
Or, this John Deere 6320 needed a display repair, some lamps and a meter movement. Looks and works much better now.

It's not all Ag stuff at Shore Electronics... Today an ecu for a Ford ED Falcon with a V8 engine was repaired. These aren't as common as they once were, but they nearly all have the same faults. This one is ready to go again.
