How many times have you been left out of an important email at work? Or had to ask a colleague to explain what a company update actually said? 😵‍💫

It shouldn’t be that way, and it doesn’t have to be.

Sign language translation means workplace communications can finally be accessible to Deaf employees.

No more being the last to know. No more relying on others to fill in the gaps.
Just clear, direct access to the same information as everyone else.

We’d love to know what’s one change you wish your workplace would make to be more inclusive? 💬

Let us know in the comments!

How would you feel if you had to complete a task but with only half the information? 🤔

That’s the reality for many Deaf individuals.

A lot of announcements, information and emergency protocols are given through audio means first. This means the Deaf community are often left to wait for more information or rely on others to let them know what is going on around them.

We hope everyone can have access to vital information in the future 🤝

With sign language technology, announcements can be created and displayed in clear sign language on screens for Deaf individuals to stay in the loop.

This Memorial Day, we are reflecting on community and what it means to create spaces where people feel seen, connected and cared for.

True inclusion means building digital spaces where no one is left behind. That’s why we’ve teamed up with EnableAll to bring AI-powered ASL website translation to Deaf communities across the US and beyond.

By expanding their digital accessibility toolkit, we are working together to break down barriers, meet modern web accessibility standards and ensure a customised browsing experience for everyone.

It means a lot to be recognised alongside so many people and organisations working to improve accessibility and inclusion.

There is often a big debate as to whether digital accessibility matters for the Deaf community 💭

The clear answer is yes, it does!

Most people assume that because digital content is often text-based or includes subtitles, the content is accessible enough. But, this is not the case.

To put things into perspective, imagine a situation where you were asked to read something in a language you had a basic understanding of. You might feel uncomfortable and anxious as you may not have understood the full message 😟

This is something the Deaf community has to compete with every day.

At Signapse, we offer sign language translation to overcome these communication barriers, ensuring the Deaf community has access to information in their first language.
