Today, we’re celebrating Sandra’s 𝟭𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗼𝗺 – a time we are grateful for going through together!

Sandra’s answer captures something really beautiful:

Today we’re celebrating Mihai, who marks his 4th anniversary since joining Altom. 🎉

For this year’s A-Day celebrations, we asked our colleagues a simple question: “𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘈𝘭𝘵𝘰𝘮?”

Mihai’s answer might be brief, but it says so much about the kind of teammate he is:

Four years ago, Mihai joined Altom as a software tester, bringing with him curiosity, adaptability, and a thoughtful approach to the work he does. Over time, he’s shown that good testing isn’t just about tools or techniques; it’s also about collaboration, trust, and the people who make a team stronger together.

Mihai, thank you for the dedication, the calm focus you bring to challenges, and the humor that somehow finds its way into conversations at just the right moment. We’re really glad you’re part of this journey with us.

Today was a great day of conversations at Cariere în IT – Workshopul de Practică at CREIC Cluj.

We really enjoyed all the discussions we had at our stand and the chance to meet so many curious, thoughtful, and inquisitive students interested in learning more about software testing and what a career in this field might look like.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us, ask questions, and share a bit about your own journey. These kinds of interactions are exactly what make events like this so valuable for us.

At this year’s edition of cariereinit.ro, our colleague Alex Rotaru will be hosting a hands-on workshop exploring one of the most talked-about topics in tech right now: 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴.

📍 Zbor Hub Cluj-Napoca
🗓️ March 10, 2026, 11 am - 2 pm

The workshop starts with 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲:
💡🎛️ You’re given a device. You don’t know what’s inside. Your job is to figure out how it works, just by interacting with it.

🤝 Working in teams, participants will practice some of the core skills that testers rely on every day, exploring unknown systems, identifying patterns in behavior, and documenting their findings.
Then, the experiment goes one step further.

💻 AI tools will be introduced into the process, giving students the chance to see firsthand where these technologies can support testing work, and where human curiosity, observation, and reasoning still make the difference.

𝗡𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱, just curiosity and the willingness to tackle an unknown problem and see how far you can get.

Starting your career in software testing can feel a bit like stepping into the unknown. You’ve studied the theory. You’ve worked on some projects as a student at university to get a glimpse of the practical side. But still, what does working on real software testing projects actually look like?

We completely get it, and that’s exactly what we explore in our 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦.

This summer, we’re welcoming a new group of interns to join us at Altom for three months of learning, experimenting, and working alongside our testing team.

During the program, you’ll:
• work on real projects with experienced testers
• explore different testing approaches: exploratory, automated, manual, and more
• learn with the help of a dedicated mentor
• receive feedback that helps you grow step by step
• experience what being part of the Altom team is really like

And if we discover that we work well together, the internship could turn into a longer journey with us.
