We recently had the pleasure of welcoming two groups of students from Universiti Malaysia Sabah to our office as part of their Project Based Learning initiative 🎓

The session was a great opportunity for students to gain insights into the working environment, industry expectations, recruitment processes, and what companies look for in candidates entering the workforce. Through engaging discussions and interview sessions, they explored real experiences from our team and got a better understanding of professional readiness and day-to-day life in the industry.

At Yopeso, we’re always happy to support initiatives that help bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practice, and give students a closer look at the tech world in action. 💛

Thank you for visiting us, it was a pleasure hosting you! 🚀

This year, our Yopeso Moldova team joined one of the biggest running events in the country together with thousands of participants from all over the world. The event brought together runners of all levels for races including 4 km, 10 km, 21 km, and relay competitions.

Our team participated in the relay race with 4 amazing teams, while our colleague Sandu Nicula took on the full 21 km half marathon individually – an incredible achievement! 👏

Beyond the race itself, it was all about team spirit, motivation, supporting each other, and enjoying the atmosphere together.

A big congratulations to everyone who participated and brought the Yopeso spirit to the streets of Chișinău! 🚀💛

We’re happy to share that our colleague, Catalin Stanciu, will be speaking at on June 12 in Bucharest 🔥

The session will focus on a topic that’s becoming increasingly relevant as AI tools become part of our daily workflows:
Who actually owns our “digital self” in the era of AI?

As we build workflows around AI and integrate these tools deeper into our work, new questions naturally appear:
Who owns the context and patterns behind these systems?
What happens when platforms change or disappear?
How much of this intelligence is actually ours?
Instead of presenting answers, this session will open the conversation, bringing together product and tech professionals to explore these questions together.

We’re proud to see our colleagues contributing to discussions like this and sharing perspectives within the broader product community.

A big thank you to the Product Makers Romania!

This time, we switched things up with a different kind of team experience: a chocolate tasting workshop at our office together with Maximilian Chocolat.

From passion fruit with thyme to Japanese genmaicha, white tea with peonies, coffee, and classic gianduja – we explored a variety of unique and unexpected flavors that definitely sparked curiosity (and a few surprises 👀).

Beyond tasting, we also learned more about how chocolate is made, discovered what raw cocoa looks like, and even tried real cocoa beans. One of the highlights? A blindfolded tasting that let us focus entirely on the flavors: a fun and completely different way to experience chocolate.

We also got a glimpse into an exciting project developed together with a university in Cluj-Napoca, exploring new types of chocolate with potential health benefits.

A great mix of learning, experimenting, and simply enjoying time together 💛

We’re happy to share that our colleague Sandu Nicula will be one of the speakers at JVM Tech Talks Chișinău 🚀

This is a free, community-driven technical event bringing together Java and JVM engineers in Moldova for deep-dive talks, knowledge sharing, and meaningful connections. It also marks an important step toward establishing an official Google Developer Group (GDG) chapter in Chișinău.

Sandu will present:
“Cache Me If You Can: Building Resilient Java Caching Layers”

His session will explore how caching can significantly impact system performance – and why doing it right is often more complex than it seems. Key topics include:

- Designing resilient caching layers
- Common pitfalls in high-throughput systems
- Avoiding costly performance mistakes

If you’re working with Java backend systems or interested in scalability and performance optimization, this is a great session to attend.

📅 May 16
🕚 Doors open at 11:00 AM
📍 Grid Dynamics Office, Chișinău (Avenue Business Center, Str. Serghei Lazo 38, 12th floor)

We’re happy to look back at another great DevOps Moldova (.md) Community event – Cloud Cost Management 🚀

It was a great session bringing together engineers, SREs, and cloud enthusiasts to dive into one of the most relevant topics in modern infrastructure: how to manage and optimize cloud costs effectively in real-world environments.

A big thank you to all speakers for sharing their experience and practical insights!

We’re especially proud to see Artur Durlesteanu representing Yopeso and contributing to knowledge sharing within the community.

And thank you to everyone who joined, both onsite and online. It’s always great to see strong engagement, thoughtful questions, and real discussions around topics that matter.

Looking forward to the next one! 💛🚀

We were honored to welcome Her Excellency Mrs. Nineta Bărbulescu, Ambassador of Romania to Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam, to our Malaysia office on April 6, 2026.

This visit was particularly meaningful, as it highlighted YOPESO Romania’s presence in Malaysia through its sister company based in Kota Kinabalu and underscored the strong and enduring ties between our teams across both countries. It also highlighted Her Excellency’s continued commitment to strengthening Romania–Malaysia relations and fostering international collaboration.

During the visit, we had the opportunity to offer an office tour and host a sharing session, where we presented our AI Business Operating System (AI-BOS), a reference stack for AI project deployment in enterprises.

We also enjoyed an engaging exchange around Romanian-related landmarks in Malaysia, such as the Romanian Garden in Penampang, Sabah, along with cultural connections and interesting similarities between the Romanian and Malay languages.

It was a true pleasure to host Her Excellency, and we look forward to continuing to strengthen our collaboration and international ties.
