Our 8,000 Steps for 8p Heroes Walk is just one week away and there is still time to register to walk with us!

We will walk in honor of Olivia, our own little hero. Born with Chromosome 8p, a rare genetic condition affecting approximately 550 children worldwide, Olivia's strength and spirit inspire us every single day. This walk is for her, and for every family navigating 8p who needs to know they are not alone.

This is a chance to stand beside the families navigating 8p and take meaningful steps toward visibility, research, and hope. All proceeds support the Project 8p Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to accelerating research and improving the lives of those affected by rare chromosome 8p neurodevelopmental disorders.

In just one month, Team UpperEdge will be competing in the Boston Children's Hospital Corporate Cup in honor of our patient partner, Cael.

His story, and the difference Boston Children's Hospital has made in his life, has brought real purpose to our preparation for July 9. Boston Children's provides lifesaving care, research, and support services to children and families at some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Events like the Corporate Cup help make that possible.

Our 8,000 Steps for 8p Heroes walk is almost here, and we hope you will join us!

For the second year in a row, UpperEdge is proud to champion the 8,000 Steps for 8p Heroes Walk, raising awareness and support for individuals living with Chromosome 8p, a rare genetic condition affecting approximately 550 children worldwide. We walk in honor of Olivia, a member of our UpperEdge family, whose daily strength is a constant reminder of why this cause matters.

The Project 8p Foundation is working to accelerate research and improve outcomes for these children and families. This walk is one way we can contribute to that mission and make sure the 8p community knows they are not navigating this alone.

Giving back to the community is always meaningful, especially when it creates a direct impact for local families and youth. Recently, our team volunteered with Boston Cares on their Bed Build Project, building four bed frames from scratch that will be donated through the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless.
