“DON’T PITCH IT. FIX IT.”

That’s the spirit behind the Peoria Area Repair Cafe, a community-driven group helping neighbors repair broken items, reduce waste and pass along skills that might otherwise be lost.

It’s not really a café.

It’s a place where broken things, and good ideas, get a second chance.

Creativity is how we imagine, explore, solve problems and tell the stories that connect us.

On National Creativity Day, WTVP celebrates the artists, makers, writers, musicians, students, teachers and dreamers across Central Illinois who remind us that creativity is not just something we watch. It’s something we build together.

From inspiring young minds through PBS KIDS to sharing local stories that reflect the heart of our region, WTVP is proud to be a place where curiosity and creativity have room to grow.

Your Stories. Your Community. Your WTVP.
