Operations teams are under more pressure than ever to improve visibility across equipment and inventory, and industrial grade cellular tracking is changing what’s possible. Geoforce is helping lead that shift with rugged cellular tracking built for tough industrial environments.
• Expand visibility
• Improve utilization and reduce wasted trips
• Speed up inventory checks and help crews locate equipment faster
• Bring rugged durability into large scale cellular deployments

The GT1c combines rugged LTE M connectivity, long battery life, and a fully encapsulated design to help industrial teams track more equipment without the cost barriers that used to limit deployment.

Most asset trackers aren’t built for the environments industrial equipment actually operates in. Vibration, moisture, corrosion, and extreme temperatures can create major visibility gaps when hardware can’t handle rugged operations. Geoforce designed the GT line with fully encapsulated construction, reinforced housings, and sealed designs built to hold up in tough environments. When hardware survives the field, teams spend less time replacing trackers and more time keeping operations moving. Because in rugged industries, durability isn’t just a feature, it’s the foundation. Last week, the Geoforce team had a great time out at the Peace Region Energy Show meeting people across the energy industry and talking all things asset tracking. From equipment visibility to rugged tracking built for tough environments, there were a lot of great conversations throughout the week. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat with the team.

What’s the hardest equipment in your inventory to keep track of?

For Black Diamond Equipment Rental, LLC, it was the high rotation equipment moving constantly between job sites. They used the GT1c to bring visibility to those assets across the field, expanding tracking beyond just their most critical equipment.

The difference was clear almost immediately. Over 25% more visibility and 10+ hours saved every week just by knowing where equipment actually is. Fewer wasted trips, better coordination, and a team that’s not chasing down the same assets over and over.
This is what it looks like when tracking finally scales across more of your operation.

Geoforce opens a new market in asset tracking with the launch of the GT1c, a first of its kind ultra rugged cellular device built to scale across non- powered industrial equipment. By combining a more cost effective design with extreme durability, the GT1c makes it possible to track asset classes that’ve historically gone untracked, with connectivity supported by AT&T Business.

“The GT1c creates a new ultra rugged cellular market category while making it possible to track almost every asset class,” said James MacLean III. “It’s fully encapsulated, reinforced for extreme conditions, and built with long battery life so customers can scale tracking without adding complexity.”

Purpose built for industrial use, the GT1c brings together rugged design, intrinsically safe certification, and cellular connectivity to help teams expand visibility, improve utilization, and take control of more of their equipment.

Geoforce AssetLink has been awarded a multi-year rail car In-Transit Visibility Contract by US Army Transportation Command, accelerating its IoT leadership in the Rail Sector. The contract brings expanded visibility across boxcars and tanker cars using integrated sensor data including door activity, pressure, temperature, load, and fluid levels.

“This contract is a strong validation of our combined capabilities as we bring together satellite communications, sensor integration, and rugged hardware to meet the demands of defense and rail operations,” said James MacLean III.

The award builds on our acquisition of AssetLink Global and reflects continued momentum in the rail sector as we expand our presence across defense and industrial markets.

When reliability matters, the real decision comes down to choosing between cellular and satellite based on where your assets operate. Cellular tracking is reliable when it’s used where it’s built to perform. Across job sites, yards, and major routes where coverage is strong, it delivers consistent, dependable visibility into asset movement and status. Today, cellular is a proven option for tracking assets across the environments where most operations happen every day.

The bezel is one of the first things to take a hit on a tracking device. It handles impact, wear, and whatever your equipment runs into day to day, so it plays a big role in how well that device holds up over time.
While some jobs require a stainless steel bezel that can stand up to those conditions, others are better suited for a reinforced composite bezel that gives you the protection you need and helps keep cost low.

Geoforce gives you both, so you can match the bezel to the job and scale tracking the right way!
