Good morning mga VA. ☺️
I usually ignore and let go na mga ganito kasi part na to ng pagiging mascot natin sa social media, pero just gonna correct some things.
👉 Sneaky daw. Ginamit ko daw siya para kumita. Okay. Ginamit ko siya kumita ng $0.32 cents. Throttled na ang distrubution ng post, so more likely capped na diyan. At kahit mag-ilang million pa man ang views nyang post na yan — at most mga $5 lang kikitain diyan.
$0.32 cents, and if I may borrow her words, “hope you all saw that.”
Anong mabibili ng $0.32 cents ngayon? Comment niyo naman. Would love to know.
Sa US, hindi ka makakabili ng isang kendi diyan. Pano pag sa Pinas?
I spent more time sharing my thoughts sa comments kesa sa kitang yan.
But that’s okay. Hindi kasi alam ng karamihan na ganyan yung backstage as always and it’s just convenient to judge just to make sense of things.
👉 And if ginaya or gayahin ko yung thought process niya — kung “sneaky” yung post at ginawa para kumita ng limpak-limpak na $0.32 cents — eh would have lead with ang sneaky ng post nya at nagbi-VA baiting lang para maging relevant at makakuha ng VA traffic kahit hindi pa siya nagresearch (or nageffort magreasearch) ano meron sa pa pagiging VA before magbigay ng public take.
And if she did, malalaman niyang hindi lang “pagoorganize” ng buhay ng iba ang pagiging VA.
It’s soooooo much more. Di pa ako “VA” niyan ha. Alam ko na yan. Just being observing and being more sensitive sa nuances sa community. 🤷🏽♂️
And if gayahin ko din pag-caption niya at maging sneaky and maliscious eh di sinabi ko na lang sana sa caption “Sarap pala ng buhay VA noh ng sumesweldo lang.” which would have definitely pushed buttons, tons more buttons.
But I did not.
👉 Ang caption ko lang sa post ay “Thoughts?”. Nothing more. Not leading. Now swaying the comments to lean sa certain perspective, side and narrative.
I do this para, well, mapalabas ang thoughts ng community.
And as usual magkakakaiba and across the spectrum ang comments and thoughts — may mga pensive at may mga emotional.
And a lot of times, di nga ako agree sa mga comments, but goal is to get the thoughts of the community and maging venue ng discussion.
Oftentimes too, di ako nagiiwan ng thoughts ko kasi it has the same effect din of swaying the comments to a certain side. Nahihiya na magcomment ang iba after if di aligned sa nashare ko. So I often refrain from doing so.
But for this post I actually made time and nag-iwan ako ng thoughts ko para mas maka-offer ng deeper perspective based sa experience ko over the last 15 years and 6 years running and interacting with and learning from the community.
I was partially siding with her and tried to understand where she might be coming from. And if only she made time to read it before jumping into any judgement and assumptions or just communicate and ask me personally ano ang goal ng post, then baka she wouldnt have posted what she just posted again.
Looks like pagod lang siya.
Like most of us.
Kaya she said what she said, and you all said what you said sa comments.
👉 Cut muna sa patawa, and here’s my honest personal take (kinuha ko na mismo sa comment sa mismong post)
(Iko-comment ko sana sa Threads kagabi kaso di naman kasya characters)
📌 My thoughts?
We often think na the grass is greener on the other side, especially when we’re going through a difficult season.
The entrepreneur dreams of a stable MRR or paycheck.
The employee dreams of freedom and being their own boss.
The manager wants less responsibility.
The individual contributor wants more influence.
The freelancer wants security.
The corporate employee wants flexibility.
Yung VA gusto maging SMM.
Yung SMM gusto maging VA.
What we usually envy is the part ng job that solves the problem we’re currently feeling. We rarely see the trade-offs that come with it.
Sometimes we’re not actually craving a different career or role.
We’re just tired.
And when we’re tired, the life we don’t have starts looking easier than the one we’re living.
The truth is every path comes with its own pressure. The question isn’t which path is pressure-free.
It’s which pressure you’re willing to carry.
Because somewhere out there, beneath the pale moonlight, someone is looking at your situation and thinking, “I wish I had that.”
📌 Dagdag ko din na trying a different life is one thing.
Building a life around it and sustaining a family with it is another story.
Trying it vs actually living it.
Every path looks easier until you’re the one carrying its weihgt — and for most of us, bubuhatin mo yon kahit pagod ka na, kahit ayaw mo na at gusto mo na sumuko. Hindi yung bubuhatin mo hanggang pagod ka na or ayaw mo na or realize di pala para sayo.
👉 If natapos mo tong long post, comment mo naman ano gusto mo maging na lang. ☺️
PS.
Most of us suffer sa versions neto at usually kasama sa regular silent battles natin. Some just post sa social media a lot more ng personal battles (di na silent lol). What helps me get through my episodes eh being self-aware and just being, as cliche as it sounds, grateful.
PPS.
Isa actually to sa mga topics na nasulat ko na and gusto ko pagusapan pero wala na naman magbabasa lol
